CHAPTER 5

Severus was in his private lab trying to make wolfbane but he was messing up too much and trashed it. He had been having nightmares for the passed week since he saw Sirius. He thought those teenage problems were behind him, but it seems they were not.

Lily: *was in Hogwarts going ovr with some details ovr with Dumbledore as she worked as a journalist in the Daily Prophet. She then decided to pay Sev a visit n went ot his lab, knocking on his door* Sev? It's me, Lily

Severus opened the door with his wand from where he was on the couch. "Come in, Lily.

Lily: *comes in n took a seat opposite him* Boy, Sevvy, u look like a train wreck

"Thank you. You always knew how to tell it like it is. I would offer you a drink but I am fresh out." He sat up, stiffening his back.

Lily: No worries, I've brought my own *took out a bottle of Russian whiskey frm her robes* My latest craze. But dont tell James *grins* Want some?

"PLease. I need it." He got out two classes. "So I suppose you have heard of the mess the ministry is making of some people's lives."

Lily: Yes, I heard it frm one of my inside sources in the Ministry. I did give a firecall to James to talk abt this, bt he said Harry is old enough to make his own decisions. Personally I think tht Diggory boy is an upright lad. James speaks well of him. Bt yes, I must agree tht the Ministry is being the pain in the ass again as usual *pours the drink for Sev*

"He also speaks well of Black." Severus took a drink. "They don't care what they do as long as their means are met."

Lily: Well, they have been tight since they were children before they came into Hogwarts. Sometimes I swear I feel as if I stole James frm Siri *laughs n sipped her drink* Bt honestly, Sevvy, Siri isnt as bad as u think he is

"he ripped the back of my robes the othr day. He is as bad. I refuse to marry him."

Lily: Well unfortunately ur gonna have to. The Ministry is vry strict abt this. Something to do with merging Muggles with the magic world, I heard? U dont honestly still hold tht grudge u had ovr tht "accident" in Hogwarts Express, do u?

"Not over that. Mostly over the ass he was in fifth year when he sent me too see Lupin on the full moon."

Lily: Yeah, I knw Siri can be quite the ass, bt it's been years now, n at least ur still standing. And Remy actually came up to u to apologize, although u threw away his chocolate peace offering out the window

"I detest chocolate. If it had been a potion I would not have thrown it away. But I have had more of a talking relationship with him since I have been making his potion."

Lily: Tht's nice. Then why r u still grudging ovr him? Ur alive, aren't u? *pours another helping of Russian whiskey for both of them*

"He..." he started and stopped. "You know me. I am never been scared of anything other than my father and that is why..." He gulped hard. "With Cassi it was more like a friendship. She wanted a family and I wanted to be part of a loving family. But with Sirius...I fear he will do as my father did to my mother. I fear he will rape me."

Lily: Well, I must admit tht Siri is a bit of a guy who shags anything tht moves, bt he would nvr do it against the person's will. He is not beyond humanity, Sevvy. U should knw by now frm stories told behind his bk tht his family history was just as torn as u were. U should try n cast tht off n look the other side of him for a change

"He tried to kill me once. You know this bonding gives the husband all power. It is for life. Neither of us can file for devorce. I have no doubt that he will rape me." he downed his drink grimmicing. "Lily, I fear him, worse than I ever did of my father."

Lily: And yet, so far, he hasnt tried again *comes to Sev n puts her arm ard him* Sevvy, I hope u dont think me of nosy, but I sense a bit of a rift btwn u n Cassi. Are u two getting distant?

He shrugged. "After Star was born we were so happy but she wanted another. I was happy with just one, but she was my wife so I agreed then she had the miscarragie. She couldn't stand that and she wanted the devorce. But lately...she doesn't want to give my time with Star. Last weekend I would have had her all weekend, Cassi took her and went to go visit her mother."

Lily: Well, I guess it's understandable. She probably hasnt gotten ovr the miscarriage n needed someone to blame for all this, n perhaps because of the miscarriage, she didnt want to lose the child she currently has, thus being the possessive mother. How's Star taking the prophecy u were thrown at?

"Better than me. She has already named her new brother or sister. She wants to name the girl Gemini and the boy Leo. Cassi never should have given her that book of Zodiac symbols."

Lily: *chuckles* Kids nowadays. They just do the darndest things. Trust me, Sevvy, James would not be friends with Siri if he hadnt had the slightest shroud of humanity in him. Siri may be the worst man u've evr met bt deep dwn inside, he's not as bad as u think. He's like u in a way. U use ur cold demeanour to shield urself frm harm, while he uses rebellion. Maybe u'll be able to find some common ground

"I doubt it." he sighed. "I just wish I could find a way out of his marriage."

Lily: It's either u take it willingly or face a Ministry court order to force-marry u. It's a lose-lose situation *shrugs* Well, I cant decide for u, bt I will support u all the way

"Thank you, Lily." he nodded.

Lily: Anything for my Sevvy *gives him a hug n a friendly kiss on the forehead* Gotta head bk now, got a scoop to write

"Thank you for coming by. It really meant a lot for me."

Lily: It's no big. Cya next time, Sevvy *waved n left the office*
