CHAPTER 11

Sirius: *got off frm work as soon as he could n made his way to Sev's home. Grooming his hair a little, he came up to the door n rang at the doorbell*

Star opened the door her once chocolate brown hair was black as ebony, matching her eyes. She looked just like Snape except for the nose. "Come in. Papa and I were just talking about baby names." She smiled big.

"You were, love." He said sitting the small table.

Sirius: *blinks as he saw the familiar power Star has* Wow. Ur a metamorphmagus? Tht's quite a rare gift evn for someone so young

"No silly. I just dyed my hair? Like?" She spun around. "Papa hates it. So does Mama but I love it."

"She looks a little do much like her father. The food will be ready momentarily." He went into the kitchen and a few moment later there was a crash. "STAR ELISABETH SNAPE HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO MAKE YOUR TRAPS IN THE KITKEN!!"

"Only three times today, Papa." She grinned a mischievous smile. "Come in, Mr. Black." She closed the door and walking him to the livingroom.

Sirius: Oh, n I thought u were like my cousin Tonks *winced at Sev's yell before allowing to be led to the living room* Wht traps is he talking abt?

"Booby traps. My mum wanted me to get a hobby so I did. It anoyes Papa since he is in the kitchen all the time but not so much Mama she hates cooking. What some tea? I made it myself." She poured him a cup.

Sirius: *grins, starting to like her already with her mischeivous streak* Sure, I'd like to try tht. Ah, so u like making booby traps, eh? Evr tried tht on anyone else besides ur dad?

"My mum, but she screamed so loud it about broke my ear drums and her boyfriend. He forget I do it each time he visits. I love scaring him. And his daughters. They're all girly girl and don't want to play. That is why I want little brother." She poured him the tea. "I have picked out three names. Leo, Capricorn and Aries."

Sirius: *chuckles* Zodiac names? Why zodiac names? As if being named aftr a star was odd enough. And u do knw tht Aries is a girl's name, right?

"It is?" She looked puzzled. "I love the zodiac symbles. And what better way to name them? Is Papa going to move in with you after the wedding or are you going to move in here?"

Sirius: Well... *rubs the bk of his neck* It's a little hard to say at the moment, bt one thing's for sure: I'm going to adopt u aftr we've settled dwn some

"That's what Sergeo said. I don't want to move to Russia but I don't want to leave my mum. I wish my mum and papa would get back together."

"You know that will not work, love." Severus had brought in the food. "Dinner is ready." Star jumped up, ready for dinner. "Come on Siri." She smiled and patted the chair next to her. "Sit by me."

Sirius: *chuckles* As u wish, girl. *a little taken in by Star's enthusiasm n overwhelming personality as he sat by the girl. He saw the spread on the table n was mildly impressed* Well, Sni-I mean, Snape. I didnt knw u could cook

"Cooking it like potion making." Severus sat down. "I like to cook. It relaxes me."

"I hate cooking. I told Papa that I am more like a boy and he is more like a girl."

"Star, please. Keep those comments to yourself." But Severus couldn't help but blush.

Sirius: *grins, bt was somehow surprised to see Sev blush. He had nvr seen him do tht before, not evn in his younger years, bt he decided to keep the remarks to himself for the sake of the girl n tasted the food* Well, I gotta hand it to ya, Snape. The food taste nice, bt I bet u cant rival mine

Severus wanted to say, 'like dog chow' but he couldn't. "I doubt it Black."

"So, Siri what do you do for a living?" Star asked as he showed down.

Sirius: Oh, I work as an Auror reporting directly to Kingsley Shacklebolt. Hours not so great, bt worth the pay

"Do you get to capture bad guys?" She asked. "My Papa helped in the last war. He was Spy."

"Yes, honey. He knows."

Sirius: Ah yes, we've been together during tht time, fighting the war. I was accused of being a Death Eater wen an ex-friend of mine framed me for attempted assassination of Harry n his family. Luckily they survived the attack bt they were too traumatized to remember the real culprit. I was locked away for almost 11 years before they finally regained their memory n testify for me, relieving me of all charges. Though ur father had a hand in helping me get out of tht hell hole

"I never thought you would do that. I was the evil man you where not. And please refrain from useing offencive words in front of my daughter."

"Papa. I am 11 years old."

"Exactly."

Sirius: Well, technically ur dad werent all tht evil. He did this bcoz of Dumbledore's orders. A double agent for both sides. I guess it's could be hard for ur dad, having to play the bad guy all the time

"She does not need to know all about that."

"But I like to." She pouted

"Star, not now." Star got mad and ran from the table. Severus sighed. "Sorry for that."

Sirius: No big *waved it away* Though she has the right to knw. Ur her dad. SHe'll love u either way. U cant protect her frm everything. Eventually ur gonna have to face the fact tht she's a big girl

"She should not know about the evil in the world yet. She is still too young." Severus sighed. "I want here to be a little girl forever."

Sirius: Tough luck. Unless u can develop a fountain of youth, forget abt having her being little girl forever. 'Sides, Har was abt her age wen he learnt of tht scumbag, n he turned out just fine. U did say aftr all tht she's like Har in a way

"Yes." he nodded. "Hope she did not annoy you too much while I was cooking. Sometimes I wonder how she is mine. She is so carefree and wild. I was never like that."

Sirius: Neither was Cassi, as far as I remember. She's alright. Turns out she's just as mischievous as I am. I'm starting to like this adoption already. Maybe she was born out of ur inner desires to be carefree n wild, n not hole up in some bat cave all on ur lonesome. Or maybe it's fate's way of balancing u out

"Maybe." He shrugged. "I do not want to be all alone. But it is what the cards dealt me." Severus pushed his food around. Too bad he could not find a man to be more than the father of his child.

Sirius: *looked at Sev awkwardly. This was the first time they were actually having a more or less civilized conversation. A long pause before he broke the ice* Oi, Sni-I mean, Snape?

"Hm?" Severus was taken out of his thoughts. He looked up at Sirius and for the first time sirius saw the tiredness behind the black eyes before it was hiden behind a mask.

Sirius: *a vry faint tint of pink crossed his face as he looked away* If...u want...u n Star could always move in with me. I've got a bigger space n all... *turns sharply at him* Bt we're still keeping the deal. We're sleeping in separate rooms

"I will ask Star if she would like that. I would still have to get back here for work." He cleared his throat and spoke low. "But you must be disgret with your affairs."

Sirius: Fine. Fine. I wouldnt wanna traumatized ur "little girl" anywho. I should say the same for u too

Severus rasied a brow. "I have yet to be with a man." he lied and got up. "I have only been with one woman so why do I need sex?"

Sirius: *looks at him up n dwn* True. Ur the perfect model of abstinence by far. *wanted to add "More like a walking chasity belt" bt decided against it n got up as well* Well, tht was an eventful dinner. Thanks for inviting me, n say bye to Star for me

"I will, Black. And thanks...for being civil." He hurried into the kitchen.

Sirius: ~Looks like I'm seeing myself out then~ *raised a brow then shrugged n left*

Severus waited until he had left to take a breath. He had felt like he was suffocating the whole time Sirius was there. "How can I make this work?" He asked himself.
