Wedding on the Fly-Chp3

*the nxt week came a little too soon for either party. All arranged marriage couples were to meet at the Ministry Banquet Hall at their assigned tables, n Sirius n James were there dressed in Ministry-issued attire*

Sirius: No. 23, 23, 23... See our table, Prongs?

"What?" James had been looking at some girls ass. "Table 23...." He looked around and spoted it. "Oh yes, over their, where those two are."

Severus was already there with Lily next to him. He was looking into the glasses at the table. "When can we go home again? He asked."

Lily: Oh shush, u've been asking me tht since u got here. Not until we meet our partners. I cant believe the Ministry issued us these clothes. They've worser fashion taste than my mom

Sirius: *looks at tht direction* Yup, I see 'em. Well, lets get this ovr with

"Don't remind me." He side. The robe he was wearing had to have been fashon when Merlin was young.

"Who a red hed. She better be mind." James cracked his nuckles. "After you, Pads."

Sirius: *sneered at him n approached the table* Umm, hi. Lily Evans n Severus Snape?

Lily: Tht'll be us. I'm Lily n he's Severus. Which one of u may be James Potter?

"I am James." He sat next to her. "And might I say you are the loveliest woman I have ever come across."

Severus rolled his eyes. "And you are full of it." He said under his breath.

James frowned. "Looks like I got the Beauty and you can the Beast, Sirius."

Lily: *nudged Severus a little before frowning a little at James* Careful who u speak to, good sir. He's my best friend

Sirius: *sat nxt to Severus* Dont mind my friend. He says things before it goes thru his brain. Sirius Black *took Severus' hand n kissed it* Plsed to meet u

Severus rolled his eyes. "I have heard worse." He pulled his hand away.

"You have too admit, though, you are a beauty." James smiled and took her chin in his hand. "You eyes are like emeralds. If I had those jewels I would never let go."

Lily: *rolled her eyes, evn tho she was slightly impressed at his sweet talking* Oh I bet u say tht to all the girls u meet, u dont need to butter me up

Sirius: I'm glad tht ur a guy. I hope I'm not being forward bt I'm more of a rooting for blokes kinda person

"I am just telling you want I see." James smiled.

"Why wouldn't I be? I don't think Severus is a very feminne name. You aparently don't know anything about the muggle world."

Lily: *giggled* Well, I'm glad ur not just a brawn without brain. I knw abt u in Quidditch. Ur pretty popular, I've heard

Sirius: No, I admit, I'm not. Pure wizard thru n thru. For wat its worth, I think u look pretty good

"Yes. I did think about going on to do quidditch profetionally, but I woulkd rather capture bad guys instead."

"Now I know your lying. It does not matter what you say to be. we are stuck with each other, so don't try to sweet talk me like you friend is doing to my friend."

Lily: Going for Auror? Well, I'm interning for the Daily Prophet. Looks like we're both gonna be busy-bees in our career

Sirius: I'm not sweet-talking. Unlike my friend, I speak my mind. I dont lie unless the situation requires me to. N I reli think u look good

"But not to busy for a family. How many child do you want. I am an only child, so I wonder what it would be like to havem ore than one child."

"Now that we have met I can go." severus stood up.

Lily: *raised a brow* Already thinking abt family? Woah there, soldier, slow dwn those loins. I've got far better things to think of than hving kids. We're barely evn engaged

Sirius: *stood up along with him* Why the rush? I want to get to knw u more. Ur interest, ur bkgrd, evrything. Pls *took his hand* Stay a while

"What? I thought you would want children. Every woman wants to be a mother, right? I mean we don't have to have them right now, now. but soon."

"Why, we will have the rest of our life for this trivial talk. Right now I want to get out of her and these clothes, and don't even go there with your mind."

Lily: Well, unfortunately I'm not like most women. I think career comes first. I'm not abt to be a housewife anytime soon. Sorry, I think I hv to go too. I'm chaperoning my friend, u see

Sirius: *sighed* Alright, bt before u go, at least tell me tht I made a good impression for u

"Your hands are clean, no marks made by hitting anything. That is a good sign. Ready Lily?" He asked, pushing in his chair. "And you don't smell of liquor. An other good sign."

Lily: Yup, ready. Lets blow this joint *took Severus' arm n left the room*

Sirius: *blinked in surprise at the weird description of tht impression, wondering wat tht meant as he watched them leave*

"Well she is a little pistol." James smiled and stood up. "I think she really liked me."

Sirius: Yeah, right. U just scared her off by asking her to be ur baby machine

"What? I want kids. I mean my mom had the hardest time having me. She would have given anything to have another one. What about you and the beast. Kinda ugly isn't he."

Sirius: *frowned at him* No, he's not. I think he's pretty good-looking. Something abt him, mysterious, dark, it kinda draws me in there. Something tht most ppl I dated dont hv

"Gees don't give me that look. I don't know what you see in him. Must be buried deep, like 12 feet deep."

Sirius: Well, at least I can see thru tht deep, unlike u, flirting abt like u nvr left Hogwarts. I swear I could see hearts floating ovr ur head wen u were sweet-talking tht bird

"Well isn't that what I do. You can take the boy out of the school, but you can't take the school out of the boy." James grinned.

Sirius: *rolled his eyes* I swear I'm the only reasonable adult here. So, is ur bird to ur liking?

"Adult? Need I remind you about two nights ago when I was the only one sober enough to get us back to you place." He frowned. "Yes I did like her. Very pretty. I have always had this thing for red heads."

Sirius: Pfft, watevr. C'mon, lets get outta here. We done wat we came for. Lets just hope the walk dwn the aisle is as fruitful as this

Lily: *was changing out of her Ministry-issued clothes with Sev. They've been changing together since kids n had no problem seeing each other nude since Sev is gay* Wow, ur Sirius Black is quite the catch there, Sevvy

"Please don't call me that, you make me sound like a two year old." He put back on his black robes with the long row of buttons. " I must admit he is not bad looking, but really it is not looks that is important. It is how he deals with anger and stress that must be seen."

Lily: *puts on her jersey n jeans; she was a regular tomboy* R u actually trying to compare Sirius Black with... *hesitated a little* ur old man?

"You know how he drove my mum to the loony bin. Thank god he drank himself to death." Severus put on his shoes. "I don't want a marriage like my mums. You know as much as I do that wizard marriage is permanent." Severus sighed. "Your parents were lucky to not be wizards able to choose who ever. I just wished my mom had chosen better."

Lily: Yeah, well, unfortunately they couldnt choose their kids n I had to be born a freak. Petunia hates me bcoz she's jealous tht I've got wat she called "super powers" n she didnt n my parents got divorced bcoz my dad thinks the reason I was born different is bcoz my mom had an affair with a wizard. He nvr bought the Muggle-born story. How's tht for choosing any better

"But they still choose and they could divorce." He shrugged. "Well I guess we are still both screwed."

Lily: Yeah, well, we're peas in a pod then *grins n had her arm ard Sev's shoulder as they left the building* So whaddaya think abt tht James Potter there? I think he's charming, sorta, bt he's seems to be reli into me all of a sudden

"Most men are interested in you. You just don't notice it, too involved with your studies or internship to really care."

Lily: Reli? I guess I reli didnt notice. I cant help it. I'm a career woman with high ambitions. N its the Muggle in me tht made me feel guilty abt how dysfunctional my life is tht I wanted to prove something, to make a point in my life, tht I dont wanna screw it up

"Same here, I suppose. I knew I would some day marry. I just never wanted a connection to the person. Just a marriage."

Lily: Just a marriage? Ur going to spend ur life with him, hv children with him. Ur not saying u dont want a connection wtih ur future children either?

"why? I don't want to be hurt like my mother. If she didn't love him his whoring and drinking would not have effect her."

Lily: True, bt then she would not hv loved u the way she did. I was taken by surprise at tht Potter guy wanting kids. He's so forward. I've got more things in life than be his baby machine

"You can love your children, but you don't have to love your husband. That is two different loves."

Lily: *shrugged* True enough. Well, we'll just hv to see how it goes then. I'm quite interested at how the actual wedding would turn out. I wonder if we would hv a group wedding like how we had a group meeting like just now

"Well I guess that would be economical. And not much attachment to the day." Severus shrugged.

Lily: True tht. So looking forward to the actual wedding?

"No."

Lily: Dont worry, if the wedding is anything like the meeting today, I will be there for u *hugs him comfortingly*

Severus tried to smile at her, but he still felt the foreboding in his heart like it was being crushed.
