The Crying Traveller (Part 8)

*Kita is in bed, resting heavily till he was awoken by a twinge in his stomach*

Rai: *is in the living room, staying up late with Kyo n the twins in discussion the clan matters of the day*

Kyo: *feels a phantom pain in his middle, like a telepathic pain he shared with his brother*

*Kita gets up from his bed but falls to his knees, grasping his stomach, feeling fluid leak between his legs* Noo

Kyo: *feels the pain again* Something's wrong with Kita *gets up n head to teh room*

Kita: Nii-san...it's time!

Kyo: * helps him bk up onto the bed* Kito! Raito! Send for the midwives!

*the twins head off to get the midwives*

Rai: Kita *rushes to his side, taking his hand*

Kita: *Starts to breathe*

Kal: *was in the middle of being inspected of his pregnancy by the midwives wen the twins came in*

Twins: *goes to each side of the bed, supporting their papa*

Kita: Oowww!!!

Midwives: *came in with the necessary tools n got ready*

Kal: Hey, Kita *got up the bed n made him sit up to lean him against his chest* Finally time, eh?

Kita: *is seated higher* Yea...*looks up at Kal* Deja vu, eh?

Kal: *chuckles* Kinda. Just like the first time we met

Midwife1: Do u want ur husband to be with u?

Kita: Please!

Rai: *takes his hand* I'm right here, Kita

Kiba: *is at the door* Uncle Kita...

Midwife2: I'm sorry. There's too much ppl in here. U all hav to wait outside *shuts the door*

Kal: Breathe, Kita. Nice n easy

Kiba: *holds Elly's finger* I hope he's okay

Kita: *breathes in and out slowly*

Elly: I hope so too. Bt Uncle Kita is strong. I'm sure he'll be alright

Midwife1: You're almost fully dilated. Just a few more seconds

Raito: Cmon Pa, you can do it!

Kito: We're here for you!

Kal: We're all here for u

Midwife1: Alright, you ready now. Wen u feel a contraction, just push

*Feels a contraction and starts to push*

Midwife1: That's very good. Nice n strong. Keep pushing

Kal: You can do it, Kita

Rai: Cmon, hon.

Kita: *growls and pushes hard*

Midwife1: It's almost crowning now, push harder. Push

Midwife2: *ready with a towel*

Kal: You're doing very good, Kita, c'mon

Kita: *grips harder on Rai's hand as he screams, pushing out his baby*

Midwife1: Almost there, almost there. Just one last push, Kita-sama. Make a big one

Kita: *Feels his last contraction and gives his biggest push yet*

The Twins: *are getting excited to see their newest sibling*

Midwife1: *catches the baby n passes it to the other midwife with the towel, bt the baby was not crying*

Kita: What's going on?

Kal: Yeah, I don't hear it crying

*the midwives got to work removing the fluids n rubbing the baby's back vigorously, trying to get it to breath*

Rai: *prays hard*

*those waiting outside were also worried wen they heard Kita stopped pushing bt there was no sound of the baby*

Midwife1: C'mon, baby, c'mon *rubs the baby's bk*

Midwife2: *clears the mouth off the placenta fluid n gave it CPR*

*Kal's heart clenched with worry*

Kita: *Is on the verge of bursting into tears*

Twins: *The twins have their fingers crossed

*Soon, after what felt like forever, the baby slowly whimpered before crying louder n louder as air filled the lungs*

Midwife1: Oh, thank Kami. Omedetou, Kita-sama, Rai-sama. You have a baby girl

Kal: Oh thank the gods *sighed in relief*

Kita: *Cries with relief, knowing his baby's alive

Rai: Thank the gods

Midwife2: Your baby has been overdue n taking in too much placenta water, that's why it took her a while before adjusting to the air *passes the baby to Rai*

Rai: *holds her* She's beautiful, Kita ^^ *hands her to Kita*

Kita: *Takes her and holds her* She is. *sniffles* Hi Sakura *moments later, is holding his newborn daughter, breastfeeding her*

Kal: *comes in to visit* Hey, Kita. Where's Rai?

Kita: He's coming. Takai's getting him

Takai: I got him, Papa

Rai: *comes in* Kita? *looks down* Aw, she's beautiful

Kal: She definitely is. Looks a lot like her mother

Nakh: *enters with Melly n the twins* Hey guys, can we come in?

Kita: Cmon in

Rai: meet the new addition to the family

Melly: What's her name?

Kita: Her name is Sakura

*The twins look down*

Twins: She's so cute!

Elly: *pops in wtih Kiba* Hey, are we too late for the party?

Kal: Nope, just in time

Nakh: You just got yourself a girl cousin, Kiba

Kiba: *looks down* she's pretty. What's her name?

Kita: Her name is Sakura.

Kiba: I like that name *rubs his stomach*

Kal: Speaking of Sakura... *points outside*

*the garden outside was blooming cherry blossoms*

Nakh: Aww, sweet!

Elly: Woah, far out!

Melly: It's spring already?

Kita: now you guys know why I named her Sakura

Rai: During the Cherry Blossom season

Kiba: Wow. It's cool!

Melly: I wonder what season will it be wen our baby is born

Kal: I wonder too

Kiba: *rubs his stomach* I hope it's the summer

Kal: I feel so heavy right now, even though i'm only 2 and a half mths pregnant. It's ur fault *glares at Nakh*

Nakh: Can't help it if I'm a giant~! ^^;

Kiba: I've gotten use to it.

Rai: ^_^ And we have a giant having our kids

Melly: *blushes* Aww, Rai...

Raito: Damn straight. *kisses Melly*

Kal: *chuckles*

Nakh: How far along are you guys, Kiba? Melly? You should be almost due, aren't you? Since you two got pregnant at abt the same time

Kiba: *looks to his brother-in-law* When is it, Melly? 2-3 more months?

Melly: I guess so. I can't wait to have them out. My back is killing me *looks accusingly at the twins*

Kal: *chuckles* We're all in the same boat
