*A couple of months pass them by. Tora grew quite well, almost 5 months along in his pregnancy*
Jinbei: *just got bk home frm shopping for his necessities* Tadaima~!
Tora: *He smiled as he went and saw Jinbei walk in. Since they agreed to help raise the twins, Jinbei moved into Tora's huge apartment so they can be closer*
Jinbei: Hows my little kittens today? *nuzzles Tora's belly*
Tora: They're sleeping at the moment. *blushes slightly* What did you get?
Jinbei: I got us the necessities. Veggies, meat, etc. Oh, n I got ur cravings *gave him a packet of prunes*
Tora: *hugs him* Thank you Jin! *takes the bag and then helps him with the groceries*
Jinbei: So hows ur sister taking it at the moment, along with ur brother in law?
Tora: They're pretty excited right now. Onee-san couldn't take her hands off of my stomach
Jinbei: Hehe, tht's good. My parents still doesnt knw yet, tho
Tora: How come you didn't tell them? *snacked on a prune*
Jinbei: Do u hv any idea how my parents would react if they hear I knocked up someone~? They'll castrate me for sure~! -_-'''
Tora: No, they won't do that.
Jinbei: Yes they will. They will totally slaughter me...!
Tora: Just because of what I am?
Jinbei: No, not only tht, bt bcoz I couldnt keep my dick in my pants. The last thing my Pop said n made vry clear was tht I should nvr, evr knock up anyone, especially ppl like u, or he'll castrate me, bcoz he doesnt want to bear the responsibility of repercussion. Those r his exact words.
Tora: Jeez, I need to have a word with him
Jinbei: Besides, I've heard horror stories abt high-class breeds ppl like u bringing out lawyers n all tht shit n giving the person hell wen "accidents" happen
Tora: *hugs him close* Well, I'm not gonna do that
Jinbei: U sure? Ur sis Mai seemed to sound like a different case
Tora: But I calmed her down
Jinbei: Bt wht abt ur parents?
Tora: Jinbei, my sister and I are on our own. Our parents died in a plane crash
Jinbei: *surprised* U nvr told me tht before
Tora: I didn't want to tell you
Jinbei: U should've. I thought we promised no secrets btwn us
Tora: Well, it's kind of a personal thing
Jinbei: Well, since u told me, I might as well be fair n tell u my side of the family. You see...
*before he could start, someone barged into the room*
Sangetsu: ONI-SAMA~!!!
Tora: Who is that? *jumped at the sound of the shouting*
Jinbei: Oh no...!! *groaned as he facepalmed*
Sangetsu: Oni-sama~!! Oka-san sent me to bring u home for the family anniversa...A-ra? Who's this nice-looking tiger?
Tora: I'm Tora Stripes.
Sangetsu: Heh, interesting pun, considering ur a tiger. Sa, oni-sama, is he ur roommate or something?
Jinbei: Well, err, he's...umm... *dunno where to start*
Tora: To be honest, I'm his boyfriend
Sangetsu: Heh~? Ur his boyfriend~? Oni-sama, why didnt u tell me?!
Jinbei: Well, its a bit complicated n all...
Sangetsu: *looks at Tora's bulging belly* U didnt knock him up, did u??
Jinbei: W....elll....
Tora: If I tell you, promise you will not tell your parents
Sangetsu: I dont knw u tht well, n I cant promise I wont tell, bt I'll try
Tora: *takes Sangetsu's hand and places it on his stomach*
Sangetsu: *felt a movement* Woah! U reli r knocked up! I can smell oni-sama's scent on u! N u... *took a whiff of him* Ur a high-class breed, arent u? One of the rare ones tht r intersexual
Tora: That's right, Sangetsu-kun.
Sangetsu: Do u hv parents? Do u hv lawyers? Do u hv those high-classed connections or underground affiliates?
Jinbei: To-chan, tht's just rude...
Sangetsu: I hv to be sure! Oto-san said he doesnt want repercussions, remember?
Tora: My parents are dead and, yes I do have a lawyer. And no, I have no connections
Sangetsu: Ur not going to sue, right?
Tora: Why would I want to? *rubs his belly* I'm happy to be pregnant
Sangetsu: *smiled wildly* Sa, then it's settled. I'm telling our family
Jinbei: Na...Nani~?! To-chan~!
Tora: Why? I thought your folks would be mad at him for what he did
Sangetsu: Tht is if u were going to give us hell. Now tht u hv given ur word tht u wont, I think its safe to say its OK to break the news
Jinbei: To-chan~! We cant be too sure abt tht. Chichi-ue (father) will still...
Sangetsu: *ignores him* Sa, I'll go break the news now! Ja-ne~! *made a run for it*
Tora: Wait! Aww...great, I dunno if we are screwed or not
Jinbei: Moh~! -_-''' U hv to forgive my little brother. He can be so enthusiastic sometimes
Tora: *rubs his mound, sighing heavily*
Jinbei: I think I better give u a heads-up abt my family. U ready to hear this?
Tora: I'm ready for anything.
Jinbei: *sighed* My family consists entirely of half-siblings frm different mothers. Chichi-ue, my father, is raised to believe tht diversity is the key to spreading the bloodline. Sangetsu is half-wolf frm my father's real wife. I hv a few more other sibs, one half-rat n one half-mongoose. My father's real wife is a bisexual who also has a mistress who is a snow leopard n sired one child with her. N my 'mother' is a male street alley cat my father took in, n using scientific methods, conceived me. Yeah...tht's the gist of it. I guess Sangetsu used his canine senses to be able to track me evn tho I moved in with u
Tora: *shakes his head, trying to soak in all the information that he was just given* Jeez, talk about a mixed up family tree
Jinbei: Tht's why I didnt like discussing my family with u
Tora: Too complicated *sat himself down, feeling the twins inside his womb, kicking
Jinbei: * caressed his belly, smiling*
Tora: I'm so excited...even for the birthing
Jinbei: Dont get too excited now. U still hv my family to deal with. I hope ur prepared
Tora: I don't get scared easily
Jinbei: Tht's nice. As long as ur by my side, I'm not scared too
Tora: *gives him a big kiss on the nose*
Jinbei: *chuckles n kissed him fully on the lips*
Tora: *murrs as the kiss and strokes his hair*
Jinbei: I love u, Tora *purrs* N our little kittens
Tora: I love you too Jinbei. *places his hand on Jinbei's hand, only to be interrupted by knocking. You think that's them?
Jinbei: *pales* I hope not *answers the door*

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 6
Severus and Aaron rode side by side as they flew past buildings and skyscrapers and under bridges to penetrate into the Muggle world. A few times they flew past a couple of ferries carrying tourists on a cruise, but they were moving too fast to be caught a second glance. A flock of birds squawked at upon seeing two men flying on brooms at top speed, and there were times when people thought they saw them swooping past the window of their 32nd floor office or any other high-floored building, but overall, they were able to fly around, ignored and unnoticed.
“How far till we get to the Lights?” Severus asked, dodging a radar pole.
“Only a few more miles, professor,” Aaron replied as he ducked past a company flag.
“Well then, Turunen, while we’re at it, enlighten me. How does a smart prodigy like you end up associating with the likes of the flirtatious dunderhead Ms. Light?”
“We’ve been friends since I first met het during my 5th year.”
“Really now? Do pray tell.”
“Well, it all started when…”
--:--
Aaron was in the Great Hall, studying for his potions exam. OWLS was coming around the corner and he had to make sure that he aced this subject. He wouldn’t want his favourite teacher to be disappointed if he did not pass; he had high hopes for him after all, as quoted “Do me proud, Turunen” by him when he went for Potions Class that morning in front of many awed students. Many spread rumours about him behind his back about reasons why Severus liked him so much, some of them not pleasing to the ear (‘he must’ve slept with that old bat’ or ‘he must’ve bribed him with something’ or ‘Snape must’ve have a pedophile fetish’ or ‘Snape must’ve been bewitched by him’, etc, etc) but he alone knew better.
“Wart of trolls…” he muttered as he dropped the ingredients into the cauldron. The best way to study is to do the experiments by himself, and since doing it in the common room where smells can gather and choke the life out of his fellow housemates, and using the Potions classroom was not an option as it was always occupied for other students for classes, he decided the only spacious and least occupied place would be the Great Hall.
“Oh drat,” Aaron grumbled as he tried to look for the list of ingredients he had just taken down for his reference. “Where is it?”
“This yours?”
He looked down and found the source of the voice belonged to a little girl with long brown locks the colour of milk chocolate running down to her waist and eyes as red as a ruby rose. Her nose and areas around her eyes were puffy and red from crying as she held up his list of ingredients she picked up at the bottom of the end of the table, and her built looked like she was a little child in grown-up attire, what with one of her sleeve totally covering her whole arm and hand, leaving the collar slanting to one side, revealing her shoulder. A closer look and he saw that she was wearing a huge big-ass T-shirt with an old-school anime character he didn’t recognize printed on the front that ran all the way down to the middle of her knees, and she was wearing baggy socks that lopped lazily over her black buckle shoes. He could tell that except her shoes, she was wearing nothing but hand-me-downs.
“Thank you,” Aaron smiled as he took the list from her. He noticed again her crying face and asked, “Something wrong, little girl?”
“I got lost. I got separated from Mommy…”
“C’mere,” Aaron said as he gestured her to sit on his lap to calm her down and stop her from crying again. She gladly did so and saw the bubbling cauldron before her.
“Watcha making?”
“It’s something for my Potions exam.”
“You a student here?”
“5th year Gryffindor.”
“Mommy says I’m gonna be a student here next year,” the little girl announced, then pouted, “I don’t wanna. People here are creepy.”
So she’s only 10 years old now. No wonder she looks so tiny, he thought, then smiled and assured her, “Don’t worry. It’s nice here. I’m sure you’ll like it once you get used to it.”
“We got a letter from an owl yesterday saying that I’m chosen to be a student here for next year’s intake. Mommy’s here with the big fuzzy giant to discuss about this with the Headmaster.”
“You mean Rubeus Hagrid? Oh, that guy’s harmless. You might even get to be friends with him and his wonderful pets,” Aaron said, sweat-dropping as he muttered to himself, “That is, if dragons and three-headed big-ass dogs are your thing.”
“Do you know why I’m chosen? Coz I don’t.”
“It’s because you have potential.”
“My friends say people with magic are bad. They curse people and make people sick and die. I don’t wanna be someone like that.”
“That’s not true. I’m a Muggle-born, just like you, and you see how nice I am, and how nice Hagrid was.”
“But Mommy said I’m not a Muggle or a Muggle-born,” the little girl said.
“Oh?” Aaron asked, surprised.
“She said I’m actually adopted, and that I’m actually a pure-born witch. She said I’ll find my real family, but I don’t wanna. I like being a Muggle.”
“We are who we are, lass,” Aaron shrugged. “There’s no avoiding it, Ms…?”
“Light,” the little girl smiled and shook his hand. “Judith Cecelia Light. You can call me Jude.”
“I’m Aaron Turunen.”
“Pleased to meet you, Aaron Turunen.”
Soon, after watching Aaron completing his potion, Mrs. Light—Jude’s mom—finally found her after being led by the ever twinkling old Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Aaron greeted them both and brought Jude hand in hand to her.
“Sweetheart, you got me worried! I’ve been looking all over for you, you know.”
“Sowwy, Mommy…” Jude replied in a cute voice.
“I see you met your future junior,” Albus approached Aaron, smiling from ear to ear.
“Huh? Oh yeah,” Aaron was lost for a moment watching Jude apologizing cutely to her mother. “I think she’ll be a great student.”
“She would be, if only she can get over the fact that she’s no longer the Muggle she thinks she is,” Albus grinned, speaking a tone lower than Mrs. Light’s earshot. He then turned to Mrs. Light and said, “This is Aaron Turunen, one of our school’s pride and joy. With proper training and guidance, and a little help from friends like him, I’m sure your daughter will be just as successful.”
“I do hope so,” Mrs. Light replied, nodding gratefully. “Although I myself am gonna have to get used to this new environment.”
“Well then, our gamekeeper Hagrid will send you off to the station, Mrs. Light. Have a safe journey. It’s been a pleasure talking to you.”
“Thank you very much, Headmaster. Come along now, sweetheart.”
“Bye bye, Aaron Turunen!” Jude said as she waved goodbye to him. “See you next year!”
“Bye. Same here.”
As they watched Jude and her mother be led out of Hogwarts by Hagrid, Albus rubbed his chin thoughtfully and said, “Pretty little girl, isn’t she? Her eyes are really blood red though, really reminds me of someone. Can’t put my finger in it.”
“Hmm…” Aaron looked at Albus for a moment and also contemplated the question.
He had to admit, she did remind him of someone as well…
--:--
“Then I suppose the phrase ‘And the rest is history’ should suffice?” Severus said as Aaron ended his tale.
“Yeah, it should,” Aaron grinned, then saw the suburban community where Jude lived and the beautiful peach-pink roof of Jude’s home and said, “Here we are!”
Aaron quickly landed somewhere at the backyard to avoid prying eyes and walked to the front door. Severus followed suite. Aaron pressed the doorbell and called out, “Hello? Anybody home?”
“Coming!”
Moments later, the door was answered by a boy with strawberry-blonde hair and striking green eyes framed by a pair of slightly tinted glasses. He was about a couple of inches taller than Aaron and had that sort of look on his face that gave everyone the impression that he looked much more mature than his actual age, when in fact he was only a few months older than Aaron. He was standing there with only his long pants on, revealing his slightly muscular built.
“Oh my goodness, Aaron!” the boy exclaimed as he hugged him. “Where have you been for so long?! The last time I saw you was on New Year’s Eve a year ago when you celebrated the countdown with us!”
“I’ve been away for a while, exams and all that,” Aaron replied. “Sorry to intrude, but I need to speak with everyone here.”
“Well, come in! Come in! Let’s not be strangers!” the boy said as he let Aaron and Severus in. he noticed the cold, expressionless professor and whispered to Aaron, “Who’s that creepy old bat?”
“The name is Prof. Severus Snape, Hogwarts Potions Master,” the said ‘old bat’ replied as he gave him an almost angry look, making him jump, obviously hearing every word.
“Oh, err, hi!” the boy greeted nervously, holding out his hand to shake. “The name’s Jonathan Cameron Light. You can call me Joe. Eldest brother in the family.”
Severus just shook his hand briefly and said, “Joe, we must know about your sister. Was she adopted?”
“Well, yes, of course. How did you…”
“Aaron!!!”
Aaron was suddenly glomped by another boy who was a few years younger than Joe, with flaming red hair and green eyes a shade darker than Joe. He had this sort of naughty look on his face that reminded Severus of a male version of Jude.
“Who’s that?” the boy asked as he pointed at Severus while still glomping Aaron.
“That’s Severus Snape from the magic world,” Joe replied as he pried him off Aaron.
“Howdy! Jason Christian Light at your service.”
“Please, we need to know immediately,” Severus insisted, seemingly not in a mood for anymore further introductions.
“Well, Mother and Daddy are both at work,” Joe replied, leading them to the living room while Jason did his usual family drill of preparing tea for the guests, “and we were quite young at that time, so we can’t really tell you much.”
“But we can say that Jude is definitely not of our blood,” Jason chided in, bringing in the tea.
“How did your family come across her?” Aaron asked.
“I was 5 years old and Jason was 3 when Mother brought baby Jude home,” Joe explained. “She said the mother died when she helped deliver the child and didn’t know what to do with her.”
“Your mother is a midwife?” Severus raised an eyebrow.
“Yup, and Daddy’s a travelling businessman.”
“Mother tried to locate Jude’s real father through the police, newspapers, TV, radio, everywhere possible, but we couldn’t find him anywhere,” Jason said. “So we assumed it was one of those knocked-up cases. Mother got kinda attached to Jude during our quest to search for her father, and finally after exhausting all forms of media, she finally went through all the paperwork and stuff to legally adopt her.”
“Like I said,” Joe shrugged, “the mother died soon after Jude was born. There was no information or leads whatsoever to Jude’s lineage.”
“Did your mother keep records of who the mother was?” Severus asked.
“I think she did, but only very brief ones though. I’ll drive you to the clinic she works in if you like.”
“That would be good,” Aaron replied. “Severus and I will follow you.”
Everyone soon got into Joe’s Toyota and drove off to Mrs. Light’s maternity clinic downtown. Aaron made sure to bring the brooms along just in case they needed to take off immediately on the spot.
“Here we are. Forever Baby Maternity Clinic.”
They soon found themselves getting out of the car after a half-an-hour drive and standing in front of a small single storey building that bore the sign FOREVER BABY MATERNITY CLINIC against the roof. Women with protruding bellies came in and out of the clinic, with the occasional husband accompanying their pregnant wives. Joe led them inside and asked the receptionist to call for their mother, who in turn directed them to her office.
“Boys! Aaron! Prof. Snape!” Mrs. Light exclaimed as she saw the crowd coming in. “What a pleasant surprise! What brings you all here?”
“We need the records of Judith’s real mother,” Aaron said, going straight to the point.
“What? Why? I’m afraid it’s kinda bit of a patient-doctor confidentiality here.”
“Your adopted daughter is in trouble,” Severus said in his usual cold tone when he wanted to get a message through you loud and clear, “and we need to know it now, Mrs. Light.”
“Well, if you put it that way…” Mrs. Light wavered seeing the urgency of the situation and the fact that Jude was involved. She went to her file drawer and searched through her files to see if there were any records of Jude’s mother’s delivery. She managed to find it and passed it to Aaron.
“Here. I only managed to get her name and age. Nothing else.”
Aaron took a look at the name and showed it to Severus, “Here it is, sir.”
Severus craned his neck to see a small passport-sized photo of a young woman barely in her 20’s—maybe younger—with brown locks just like Jude’s and silver eyes. Behind her picture were the paper that bore only the name Tanya Lucius and her age of 19 in the personal information section.
“Her birth was a little premature,” Mrs. Light explained. “She’s about a month early, but Jude survived and pulled through. She didn’t. I had to make do with a photo of her that I got from her pocket. She lost a lot of blood and she was suffering from chronic malnutrition, which led to her death. We did everything we could to resuscitate her but in vain. There was something rather disturbing about her last words before she died though…”
“What were they?” Aaron asked.
“She said ‘Don’t let him get my Althea’ or something like that. I didn’t know what it meant at the moment.”
“Athena…” Aaron muttered.
“That’s what you heard the Dark Lord called her,” Severus pointed out. Aaron nodded in reply.
“May I know what’s going on? Is there something wrong with my Jude?” Mrs. Light asked, starting to worry as she realized the situation was getting tense.
“You guys found something about Jude’s real family perhaps?” Joe asked hopefully. “The father, maybe?”
“That’s what we’re trying to find out,” Aaron replied. “Her father is after her and we need to know why.”
“Is he a dangerous man?” Jason asked worriedly. “It sounded like her mother didn’t want him to have her.”
“Aye, it’s true.” Aaron nodded.
“He could do the most unimaginable things to any living being he desires to destroy,” Severus added.
“Unimaginable?” Joe exclaimed in disbelief. “Try telling that to Jude when she killed out neighbour’s dog with just a glare when she was 5! No one believed me when I told them what I saw she did—not even you, Mother—and she conveniently forgot about it. When you guys came in with the letter to accept her to your magic school, my suspicions were confirmed that she wasn’t normal.”
“Guess violence kinda runs in her family,” Jason said, being the most outspoken member of the Light family.
“Boys! That’s not a very nice thing to say about your sister!” Mrs. Light scolded, then tuned to Aaron and apologized, “Forgive them, Aaron. They seem to have the unfortunate luck of being as much of a blabbermouth as their father.”
“It’s alright,” Aaron replied with a fake smile, when in truth he wished he’d able to cast a permanent silencing charm on them to shut them up about badmouthing his best friend.
“Anything else out of the ordinary?” Severus asked, trying to bring them back into topic and avoid disputes.
“Well, she did claim that a lizard was telling her that her father would come pick her up sooner or later,” Joe said. “Her real father, I mean. It happened the day after you guys sent her the enrolment letter and after Mother told her that she was adopted.”
“Parseltongue…” Aaron recognized that ability anywhere. Harry had displayed that ability before during his 2nd year when ex-DADA teacher Gilderoy Lockhart—bloke of all blokes—initiated the Dueling Club, and he—a 6th year back then—was there to witness it happen when Draco summoned a snake and was about to attack Justin Finch-Fletchly. It wasn’t something he could easily forget. Come to think of it, he did have a brief memory of Jude telling him that she clearly heard in plain English that Harry told the snake to stop when everyone else heard him talking in a totally different language. Severus couldn’t agree more as he was there as well when it all happened.
“This is strange…”
“Parseltongue? What’s that?” Joe asked.
“It’s the ability to speak to reptiles…” Aaron started to explain when he suddenly felt a sharp burning pain from the scar on his neck. He winced and doubled over, the scar searing through him like someone pressing a hot rod onto his neck.
“You OK, Aaron?” Jason asked worriedly.
“Turunen!” Severus went to him and tried to help him up.
“My scar…” Aaron wheezed, barely able to talk.
Mrs. Light quickly got a cooling pad from the first-aid kit and pressed it against the scar and fed him some painkillers while Severus helped him sit on the chair, “Hurting again, Aaron? You used to hurt sometimes when you came to visit Jude here during the school hols.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Light,” Aaron sighed in relief as he eased into the coolness of the cooling pad and waited for the painkillers to kick in. “You’re a saint.”
“I have discovered, through autopsy records from the morgue, that Jude’s mother had a lot of bruises, cuts and bumps throughout her body, and some bones in her body had been broken and did not heal properly. The state of her vagina indicated that her pregnancy was due to rape.”
“Dear God…” Severus breathed his words out, unable to believe that the Dark Lord was that brutal. He could only imagine how he did it and what the woman had been through as she carried Jude to term.
“If Jude is really sought after by her father, and her father is as dangerous as you claim him to be, I fear the worse. Please protect her for us.”
“Please do,” Joe and Jason said in unison.
“We will, Mrs. Light,” Aaron said as he got up, rubbing his neck. “I promise.
He would never let his best friend lost even a single hair on her head, and he would make sure of it even if it costs him his life.
Light?”

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 5
After long hours of flying and trying to keep Jude in balance, he finally reached the Grimmauld’s Plaace. Reacting to his presence, the seemingly innocent old-looking row of apartments began to diverge and divide, revealing another extra row in between (A/N: Those who have watched the movie, which I’m sure you did, you get the picture). Aaron went up to knock the door, hushing the whimpering Jude in his arms.
“Well, if it isn’t my dear ol’ friend Aaron Turunen!”
Aaron smiled as he was hugged by the person he had hoped to answer the door: Sirius Black, one o fhis most favourite family friends. Before his parents were killed, Sirius, Remus and Moody were the closest magic family he had when his parents discovered him displaying magical powers as soon as he learnt how to walk and talk. They would come often to educate Mr. and Mrs. Turunen on the world of magic while Sirius played magic games with him to help him familiarize. It was after his parents were killed by Lucius and Sirius accused of being a Death Eater and murderer of Harry Potter’s parents that Moody did all the necessary procedures to adopt him as his nephew so that he could continue to prepare and train him for the wizard life. Aaron never believed that Sirius would do the crimes he was accused of, and had kept mum about him hiding out and on the run (after being informed so by his Uncle Moody), and would often visit him whenever he had the chance. Now, seeing him again after a couple of years studying feverishly for NEWTS and finally graduated, it was like meeting a long lost friend.
“Good to see you too, Siri,” Aaron said as he hugged him back with one hand, while trying to carrying Jude on his back with the other.
“And this must be the famous girl we’re talking about, eh?” Sirius asked as he noticed Jude nuzzled on Aaron.
“Yes, she is.”
“Well, well, if it isn’t Aaron,” Remus appeared from behind and hugged Aaron as well.
“Remy!” Aaron exclaimed, calling him by his pet name. “Good to see you too.”
“Well, don’t just stand there, ol’ friend! Come in, come in!” Sirius said as he invited Aaron in. “Take her upstairs to the master bedroom before joining us at the dining room.”
Aaron nodded and headed upstairs. He lay Jude on the Victorian canopy bed in the master bedroom and watched as the whining Jude settled back to sleep before heading back downstairs to the said dining room. There, as expected, were a few of the big shots of the Order of the Phoenix, including Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape.
“Ah, Mr. Turunen,” Albus said, his eyes twinkling with delight at upon seeing the Muggle-born prodigy. “Glad you could join us.”
“Thanks,” Aaron said as he took a seat among the Order, next to his favourite teacher Severus.
“We have briefly heard from Dumbledore about your predicament,” Severus noted. “So what exactly happened in your encounter?”
Aaron began to tell the story: from the Dementor attacks to Jude being possessed by the Dark Lord and ended at the part where he tried to ward him off her.
“Really now?” Sirius asked, impressed. “You actually had an encounter with the Dark Lord? I wish I could see that.”
“Aye. I wish my uncle was there.”
“So what did Voldemort say to you?” Albus asked.
“He said ‘She’s my Athena…’ or something like that.”
Almost immediately the whole room became tense, with everyone looking at each other in worry. Even the famous expressionless Severus Snape began to frown a little at upon hearing Aaron’s statement. A torrent of whispers and nods of agreement ensued.
“He’s really serious now…”
“Aye…this could be a problem…”
“I’m surprised you didn’t kill her,” Severus said, giving Aaron a sideways look.
“I couldn’t…” Aaron replied, blushing. “I just managed to ward Voldemort off.”
“You did the right thing, Aaron,” Sirius said. “She is, after all, collateral damage. A means to Voldemort’s goal.”
“Aye,” Remus agreed. “He probably just did that to make you angry.”
“But Athena is definitely going to be a problem,” Albus said worriedly, scratching his overly-bearded chin.
“Who is this Athena, sir?” Aaron asked, curious.
“Athena is one of the oldest goddess in ancient times,” Sirius replied. “We believe Voldemort named Judith ‘Athena’ to give her a majestic and grandeur feeling.”
“Which means,” Albus suggested, “he must be getting weaker with age despite his army getting stronger, and needs an heir to lead his army in his place.”
“Athena was a goddess of war and wisdom of some sort,” Remus added. “It could mean something.”
“Voldemort must’ve counted on Ms. Light to lead his army once she becomes of age,” Albus said, “and seeing Harry Potter getting stronger by the minute, he might be getting impatient.”
“What is our solution then?” Severus asked. “We can’t kill her, that’s for sure.”
“I’d rather you did.”
Everyone looked up to see Jude standing weakly against the door of the dining room, looking like she had just cried a bundle. They all got up as she entered.
“Judith…” Aaron started but stopped when Jude gave him a sad, guilty look.
“No, don’t do that. I’m not worth it.”
“What are you saying?” Aaron asked as he went to her, resulting to Jude shrinking away from him.
“I’m saying that I’m not worth you guys getting up for,” she replied as she picked a seat far away in the corner of the room and sat. “I’m a murderer’s daughter. I should be dead.”
“Now that’s not true, lass,” Sirius said, a little taken aback by the way this little 13-year-old girl viewed herself at such an age.
“Just because you’re the Dark Lord’s child, doesn’t make you the same as him,” Remus joined in the consoling.
“I feel I do.”
“There, there now, child,” Albus said as he came to her and patted her head. “No need to blame yourself over something you didn’t do.”
“Dumbledore is right,” Severus said. “You’re just putting more weight on your shoulders.”
“Aye, they’re right, Judith,” Aaron said as he helped Jude up and took her back to the bedroom, excusing himself from the Order meeting. Once in the bedroom, Jude began to pour tears she had been holding back when she was with the Order.
“Why are you all so nice to me?”
“Because you’re a Hogwarts student, that’s why,” Aaron said as he stroke Jude’s back to calm her down.
“Don’t you believe in ‘Crimes of the father must be paid with the blood of the child’? Don’t you believe in retribution?”
“Not like that.”
“What should I do? I’m a marked woman. No one will forgive me for what my father had done…”
“Listen to me…” Aaron sighed, feeling half-tired-half-guilty at seeing Jude bearing the world’s unnecessary weight on her shoulders. “It’s not your fault. None of those things that happened in the past were your doing.”
“I know, but the public won’t let up. You saw those Dementors. The Ministry is out there to get me! I’ll never be fit to be in society again! Have you ever thought about that?” Jude ranted and raved in panic, worry and in tears, then reached out to hug him, saying, “They will lock me up in Azkaban and throw away the key, and I’ll never see you again…”
“Get a grip,” Aaron said in his usual authoritative voice whenever normal words cannot get through Jude’s thick skull. “I don’t think they were after you. I highly doubt that they’ll go all out to bring in Dementors just to arrest a little 13-year-old girl like you.”
“Then who were they after if it wasn’t me?”
“I don’t know…” Aaron admitted. “I’m still trying to figure out what the hell are they doing at our apartment in the first place.”
Their conversation was cut short by Sirius knocking and calling from behind the door, “Everything alright in there, kids?”
“We’re good, Siri,” Aaron replied.
“Yeah, we’re good,” Jude replied as well, then turned to Aaron and forced a smile, saying, “You should go back to your meeting. I’ll be fine. I won’t be all wussy anymore.”
“Good. Start acting normal, like you used to be.”
“You mean like this?” Jude grinned naughtily and gave Aaron a peck on the cheek, rendering Aaron into a human stop sign. Seeing Aaron speechless for a moment there, she stuck out her tongue, made a cute face through her blushes and said, “It was meant for Snape actually, but you’re such a nice guy and all…”
“T-Thanks…” Aaron stammered, his face redder than the reddest tomato.
“Sorry to intrude your little get-together,” Sirius said as he popped his head through the door, making them both jump, “but we’d better be discussing matters right now.”
“Coming down now. Wanna come along, Judith?”
“Nah, I’m good,” Jude shook her head. “I’ll just rest here for the moment.”
“Okay,” Aaron patted Jude’s head before going downstairs together with Sirius.
“So…” Sirius said after a moment’s silence, grinning mischievously from ear to ear, “the future Mrs. Turunen, I see?”
“Siri,” Aaron blushed, “she was just being nice.”
“Sure…” Sirius replied, raising his eyebrow cunningly, obviously not buying his excuse as they head back into the dining room.
“How is Ms. Light now, Turunen?” Albus asked as soon as they came in.
“She’s taking it easy now,” Aaron replied. “My little talk with her seems to ease her down about her heritage.”
“Sounds like she likes you and vice versa,” Severus noted, giving him a suspiciouslook.
“Professor!” Aaron exclaimed, blushing even redder than he already was, with Sirius guffawing with laughter at the background.
“Now, now,” Remus said, fighting back a smile. “No time to tease the boy.”
“Alright, alright, settle down, everyone,” Albus snickered a little before gesturing everyone to take their seats. “We’ve got bigger issues at hand, as to how are we going to tackle the problem of Voldemort reaching to Ms. Light.”
“We should consider locating her to an area where Voldemort would never expect us to hide her,” Sirius pointed out.
“Aye,” Remus agreed. “Some place he doesn’t know about.”
“But anywhere else is a threat,” Aaron said. “My home has already been invaded. Bugger those Dementors…”
“This is troubling,” Severus agreed.
“I’m stumped,” Sirius shrugged.
“For now, I think we should consider harbouring her in Hogwarts,” Albus suggested. “She cannot stay in her Muggle home anymore since her Muggle maybe prone to danger. If Hogwarts had worked well to protect Harry, it should work the same for Ms. Light.”
Everyone nodded in agreement. They knew there had been many chances where Voldemort could’ve just storm into Hogwarts along with his Death Eaters in plain sight to kill Harry once and for all, but Harry had managed to survive and lived long enough to go through 4 years of school terms. The protection Hogwarts gave Harry was undeniable, along with a little backup from the Ministry. To leave Jude there in Hogwarts’ good hands would be the best option they got.
“Something does puzzle me though,” Sirius said, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
“What is it?” Aaron asked, curious.
“Yes, Sirius. Do enlighten us,” Albus was interested as well.
“Well…” Sirius cleared his throat. “If Judith is a year younger than Harry, she must’ve been conceived after the incident when Voldemort tried to kill Harry. But he was rendered weak after that. How is it possible then, that he had conceived Judith? And who is her mother? We know nothing about it.”
“Maybe it could’ve been the use of a potion,” Aaron assumed.
“Or through body possession,” Severus said. “The Dark Lord had taught us before the art of body possession and had said that there are cases where body possession, when having sexual intercourses, may be able to impregnate a person with their own seed instead of the seed of the body they possessed.”
“Who knows?” Albus said. “Maybe the only way to find out is to ask Ms. Light’s Muggle parents, the one who raised her. Turunen, I assume you know the Light family?”
“Somewhat,” Aaron replied. “I helped Mrs. Light with the groceries one time, and then Judith had invited me to her home a few times for Thanksgiving and Christmas.”
“Then it’s settled. While I make the necessary firecalls to Hogwarts and the Ministry, you and Severus will go visit the Light family. Ask them questions about how they came to adopt Ms. Light.”
“Aye, sir,” Aaron said, with Severus nodding as a reply.
“You may go now, but don’t tell Ms. Light where you’re going. We’ll try to keep her in the dark for the moment. It’s crucial that she is not to be troubled by this matter any further.”
“Yes, sir.”
While Aaron and Severus went off towards the Muggle word, Jude was still in her room contemplating things. She had just made a resolve to be strong and take heed of Aaron’s words, embracing the fact that nothing that happened in the past was of any concern to her when she heard a knock on the door.
“Come in.”
The door opened and revealed Sirius’ house elf Kreacher, walking in with a tray of lavish food fit for a princess. He set it on the bed and bowed,” Here you are, Mistress Light. You must be hungry after such ordeal.”
“Umm…Thanks,” Jude said, trying to remember the last time she saw a house elf. “The food looks nice.”
“Kreacher does his best to make the best of thing for you, my Mistress,” Kreacher said as he twiddled his thumbs and fidgeted nervously in his bed sheet shirt—a sorry excuse for clothing.
“Uh, why do you keep calling me that?”
“Kreacher knows Mistress Light’s family very well.”
“Really now?” Jude lit up, intrigued. She squatted in front of Kreacher and asked, “How do you know…”
“Kreacher! You will not bother our guest!”
It was Sirius, standing at the door giving Kreacher a warning look while Remus smiled awkwardly at Jude behind Sirius. Kreacher grumbled under his breath and left the room. After making sure Kreacher did not continue linger around peeking and spying at them, he and Remus sat on the bed, with Jude between them.
“Sorry about that. He’s all about grandeur and such. Can’t seem to get into his thick skull that grandeur and titles and status and all that hullabaloo whatnot is a thing of the past, aye, Moony?”
“Aye,” Remus agreed. “He never seemed to stop mumbling about it even while he’s working.”
“Was my bloodline…really as grand as the house elf said?” Jude asked. “Was my father, at one time, great?”
“Aye, he was,” Remus nodded. “He was a prodigy in the Slytherin House.”
“That explains me entering Slytherin…”
“Harry almost did, but he didn’t want to be in it.”
“Voldemort was, at one time, a great wizard,” Sirius said. “But he craved power, and that led to his life of crime, macabre and horror. Harry was right not to choose Slytherin. Slytherin had always been the root of all evil.”
“Problem is…I did,” Jude admitted, blushing a little. “I chose to be a Slytherin. I’ve always wanted to…because of Prof. Snape.”
“Ah, the age-old student-teacher crush,” Sirius grinned, ruffling her hair. “I’ve seen plenty during my time in Hogwarts, one of them being Lily Evans in particular, having this silly crush over that DADA teacher when she was in her 5th year. Remember that, Moony?”
“Lily Evans? You mean Harry’s mother?”
“Absolutely,” Remus chuckled. “James was so jealous, he gave her a silent treatment for 3 months solid. Anyway, didn’t Aaron almost enter Slytherin as well?”
“Aye,” Sirius nodded. “So I’ve herad. But he, too, chose not to. He said Slytherin was just too creepy and sneaky for his taste.”
“Now that is so Aaron,” Jude laughed.
“It doesn’t suit him at all, Aaron as a Slytherin,” Remus grinned. “He made a great Gryffindor.”
“That he did, Moony love. That he did,” Sirius smiled and reached over to peck Remus on the cheek. Jude giggled at the romantic sight; she had seen plenty of that display, both straight and non-straight ones, especially between Dean and Seamus in Gryffindor and some of the boy-boy and girl-girl in her own house. Remus blushed a bit.
“Paddy, not in front of the kids.”
“She’s old enough to understand.”
“But still…”
“Uh, where’s Aaron?” Jude asked, breaking the mushy lovie-dovie mood after realizing Aaron had not come up to visit her.
“He went out to get some more food for dinner,” Remus lied, remembering Albus’ advice to keep her in the dark about the Order’s businesses.
“That’s right,” Sirius chipped in. “That damn Kreacher emptied out the entire larder just to feed you, and we’re running out.”
“Well, he should’ve brought me along,” Jude pouted. “He sucks at grocery shopping.”
If only she knew the real reason he left.
“Well, if it isn’t my dear ol’ friend Aaron Turunen!”

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 4
As soon as they reached their apartment, Jude got off the broom and cowered at the corner, not daring to face what Aaron would have in store for her. Aaron, on the other hand, put away his broom and bandaged his cut hands before bringing out his cauldron and potion ingredients and setting them all on the coffee table, with the cauldron right in the middle. Jude stayed where she was, warily watching his every move.
“Jude, come here,” Aaron said, gesturing her to come to him. When Jude shook her head in reply, he gave her the usual authoritative tone, “Now.”
“Alright, alright. No need to be so bossy,” Jude said as she moved towards him. The first thing he did was take her hand.
“Lemme see…” Aaron muttered for a moment, then took out a pin to prick her finger.
“Oow! What was that for?”
Aaron didn’t reply, but took a blood sample from Jude’s finger and started making a mixture in the cauldron. As Jude sucked her bleeding finger and watched Aaron did his thing, she recognized by the way he stirred and by the ingredients he put in that it was a parental scanning potion only 6th years are allowed to learn, designed to help someone discover who the parent of a certain person you wish to investigate his/her lineage is. She had always wanted to learn that ever since she started reading about it in the library, but because many of the ingredients needed are kept under lock and key in Prof. Snape’s potion storage room, coupled with the fact that they were only allocated certain potion ingredients during classes for certain year students, she never got the chance to do so.
“Got anything?” Jude asked, interested.
“Hang on,” Aaron replied as he chanted a bit while stirring the potion. He whispered “Reveal to us the father” before dropping the blood sample into the cauldron. Jude watched in wonder at the way he worked.
“So much easier than getting DNA match samples in the Muggle world.”
A puff of greenish-brown smoke appeared from the cauldron and surrounded the entire living room. A big cluster of smoke began to materialize and take shape of a person. Slowly bit by bit, the smoke began to reveal detailed parts of the face, head, and body until it revealed to be an image of a handsome young man in his 20’s with brownish-black hair, reddish eyes and pale skin, dressed in a very expensive-looking suit with a robe made out of dragon hide.
“Impossible,” Aaron gasped in horror.
“What?” Jude asked, not recognizing the person in the smoke, but at the same time enthralled at seeing her real father for the first time. “Who’s he?”
“It’s Tom Marvolo Riddle.”
“Tom who?”
“He’s Voldemort, before he turned evil.”
“Vol…Voldemort…?!” Jude exclaimed, shocked that her worst fears had come true. “Voldemort is…my father?! That’s impossible!!! There must be some kind of mistake!”
“It is. The parental scanning potion doesn’t lie,” Aaron said as he destroyed the cloud with a vengeance. “Murderer…”
Jude backed away, trembling in fear and disbelief. So her worries did not go unanswered; she really was the daughter—the spawn—of evil. She couldn’t stay another minute longer. If the power she displayed at Hogwarts was really the result of an evil inheritance, who knows what she could do to her best friend?
“I…I think I should…go home now…” she said as she made her way towards the verandah that connected her side of the apartment with his.
“I’m not mad at you, Judith,” Aaron assured her.
“But…I’m mad at myself. I…I can’t face you right now…” Jude said as she quickly turned towards the verandah to climb back to her home.
“At least use the…” Aaron’s persuasion to Jude to use the front door like a normal person stopped when he saw a few dark figures flying towards his verandah. It was when one of them zoomed at top speed towards Jude’s direction that he found out it was a Dementor.
“Wait!! Jude, wait!!”
Jude was too late to react, as she was caught unaware by the Dementor that charged towards her. Face to face with the most skeletal, ugliest and more foul-breath of all beings, Jude could feel the Dementor’s cold arms wrapped around her as it opened its mouth, revealing its grisly set of teeth, ready to give her the famous Kiss. She could feel everything she held dear to her memories slipping away and her body closing in to freezing death as she was held immobile by the dark, gloomy forces of the Dementor that knew nothing but terror, sorrow and darkness…
“Expecto Patronum!!!” Aaron cast as he warded off the Dementor, his Patronus charm revealing the shape of a huge white wolf. Swiftly, he grabbed Jude and got her inside, locking all the doors and windows of his home with the Colloportus charm.
“What…What was that?!” Jude came back to her senses and instinctively reached out to hug Aaron.
“It’s the Dementors, guards of the Azkaban Prison,” Aaron replied as he comforted the petrified Jude. “Probably sent by the Ministry.”
“Oh God…Aaron, please…Don’t let them get me…”
“I won’t, don’t worry. The doors and windows are locked, and I have the Patronus charm.”
“Locked doors are not going to keep them out for long. I know the Ministry has Aurors for the job.”
“I can handle them.”
Aaron looked out cautiously. He could see that the Dementors were not letting up in their pursuit. They were still out there, looming around the apartment and waiting for a chance for Aaron to slip up and let them in. Aaron knew better than to let his guard down. He closed all the drapes and tried to keep the lights to a minimum glow.
“I’m…I’m cold…” Jude whined, shivering as she breathed white mists from her mouth. Aaron used his wand to start a fire for her.
“There you go.”
“Do they always make places so cold when they’re around?” Jude asked, huddling close to the fire.
“Yes, they do,” Aaron replied as he scared another Dementor who got too close to the window. “You’re feeling it, aren’t you?”
“Just didn’t think Harry would be right. He told me about…”
Her words were cut short when she suddenly felt a surge of energy invading her mind. It was overpowering her with the force of a freight train that she could not withstand it. Her eyes glowed red as she let out a strangled scream and collapsed onto the floor in a seizure. Aaron noticed this and rushed to her, trying to hold her down and look for something for her to bite in case it was an epileptic seizure.
“Judith! Judith, hang on!”
All of a sudden, Judith’s lips creased into a menacing smile, baring her fangs as she spoke in a raspy snake-like voice, “She’s mine…My daughter…”
Aaron’s heart immediately burned with anger. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. He drew out his wand and pointed at Jude, who was now invaded by his most hated enemy.
“Voldemort! You murderer!! Get out of Judith!!”
“She’s mine!” ‘Jude’ stood up and growled, pushing Aaron off. “She’s my flesh and blood! She’ll be my heir to my reign and I will not let her submit to the likes of you!”
“I should’ve used the Killing Curse on you when I had the chance that one time!”
“Fool! That means you’re weak! You are just as weak as everyone else who dares to face me, even dear ol’ Harry James Potter!”
Aaron growled and pounced on ‘her’, grabbing ‘her’ by the neck and holding ‘her’ onto the floor. “I order you to leave her now!!!”
‘Jude’ laughed evilly as ‘she’ replied, “Have it your way, Mudblood. But mark my words, my Athena will be mine!”
With that, his presence was gone, leaving Jude coughing and gasping for air. Aaron quickly let go of her and carried her in his arms.
“Judith! You alright?”
Obviously, she was not, for she was starting to cough out blood. Being possessed seemed to have taken a toll on her body and she was already turning pale to begin with. Aaron quickly used a healing charm to restore her strength and stopped her blood-coughing.
“That should do it.”
“Oh God…” Jude wiped her blood-stained palms on a tissue Aaron gave her. “What happened…?”
“You were possessed by the Dark Lord. He spoke to me through you.”
Jude widened her eyes in disbelief. She wanted to panic, to scream out loud how dare Voldemort invade her body without permission, but because of the toll the possession took on her body and the sedative effects of the healing charm, her anger and panic were replaced with extreme fatigue.
“I…I don’t feel so good…”
Jude soon fainted in Aaron’s arms. He caught her just in time before she misses him and falls to the solid floor below. He carried her to the bed and pulled the covers over her to keep her warm. He summoned Lola the owl and quickly wrote down a message to Albus and sent her off. Lola dodged the Dementors as much as possible as she made her way towards Hogwarts carrying the letter entrusted to her by her master.
Soon, after flying long hours through bushes and trees and past many other obstacles, Lola finally reached Albus’ Office where Albus Dumbledore was sitting at his desk enjoying his mint tea and lemon drops. Fawkes the phoenix saw Lola coming in and chirped to alert his master.
“What is it, Fawkes?” Albus got distracted from his tea and saw Lola swooping down towards his table. “Why, aren’t you Mr. Turunen’s owl?”
Lola landed safely on his table and dropped the letter onto the desk in front of him. He took out a few slabs of rat meat stashed in his lowest drawer and fed it to Lola while he opened the letter to read:
Dumbledore,
I have made contact with Voldemort…through his daughter Judith Light. I sense that he is getting stronger. Send me a reply ASAP.
Aaron Turunen
“Oh my. Aren’t we in a predicament?”
Dumbledore quickly took a piece of parchment and scribbled a short reply note and sent Lola off before getting ready to make the necessary firecalls.
Meanwhile, Aaron continued to tend to Jude who was still asleep. She would mumble and cringe occasionally at the slightest touch he made, and would toss and turn her head from time to time, as if she was having a nightmare.
“Hang on,” Aaron whispered as he wiped off the cold sweat forming on her forehead. Lola soon came in with Albus’ reply and dropped on Aaron’s lap. He quickly opened it and read its content:
Dear Turunen,
I shall contact the Order and have a secret meeting tonight. Bring Ms. Light along to Grimmauld’s Place at 6pm sharp.
Signed: Albus Dumbledore
Aaron stole a look at the clock and saw that it was 10 minutes past 5. If he wanted to get there on time, he might as well get started. Suddenly he heard Harry’s voice calling from the fireplace.
“Aaron? Oy, Aaron! You there?”
“Harry?” Aaron was surprised to get a firecall from Harry. “What are you doing here? How did you manage to call me?”
“Hermione somehow managed to figure out how to hack into your fireplace to make this firecall. Go figures. She could be a great computer hacker if she were a real Muggle. Anyways, is Jude there? Is she OK?”
“She’s fine now.”
“News about her is going around big in Hogwarts, about how her powers were evil beyond compare. Filch is having a fit trying to clean up all the glass that broke. Did you know she totaled the entire castle of its windows? God!”
“I know, I’ve got it first-hand,” Aaron said as he showed his bandaged hands to Harry.
“Ouch!” Harry cringed at the sight of Aaron’s hands, “Anyways, everyone’s talking. They’re getting paranoid and such, and Malfoy is being a pain in the neck again by spreading around lies, saying that Jude is some sort of succubus or whatever…”
“She’s Voldemort’s daughter,” Aaron blurted out before even realizing he said it, earning a wide-eyed look from Harry. Aaron frowned, seemingly hating the idea that Draco Malfoy enjoyed making fun of his best friend. Hermione, who also heard his statement, suddenly came into view, pushing Harry aside.
“You serious?”
“I did a blood test on her. It revealed Tom Riddle as the father.”
“Good God of Merlin!” Harry exclaimed as he moved into view beside Hermione. “How is that possible?! I know she’s like me, born a pure witch raised by a Muggle family, but a daughter of Voldemort?!”
“I know…” Aaron said as he carried her in his arms. He summons his Firebolt and said, “I’m going somewhere, so I gotta cut you short, Harry.”
“Oh, OK, we won’t bother you then,” Harry said. He caught sight of Jude in his arms and gasped, “Goodness…poor Jude. She looks bad.”
Aaron sighed and ended the firecall. He supported Jude close to his back with one arm and held onto the broom with the other and flew off, hoping that whatever the secret meeting was would hold the answers to Jude’s secret past.
“Jude, come here,” Aaron said, gesturing her to come to him. When Jude shook her head in reply, he gave her the usual authoritative tone, “Now.”
“Alright, alright. No need to be so bossy,” Jude said as she moved towards him. The first thing he did was take her hand.

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 3
Everyone gathered at the Great Hall during the end of semester feast. Instead of the happy and gay getting-ready-for-school-holidays mood, the atmosphere was replaced with a solemn, quiet air lingering about the Hall. A few banners with the sign of Hufflepuff were put up along the ceiling, signifying the house in which Cedric Diggory was in. Everyone sat at their places with revered silence as Headmaster Albus Dumbledore made a short tribute speech to the late Cedric Diggory, talking about his glorious days as a fine young student of Hogwarts, and ending it with the hope that everyone in the Hall would remember Cedric as long as they live. Jude looked around and noticed something missing.
“Cho’s not here,” Jude whispered. “Where is she?”
“She’s too devastated to join the feast,” Hermione whispered back. “She wanted to go home early and Dumbledore had just gave her permission to leave. She couldn’t bear the pain.”
“I guess I can understand that.”
“Poor girl…” Ron sighed. “Hope she doesn’t do anything silly.”
After the speech, Albus was about to leave to the head table when he spotted Aaron among the Gryffindors at the table.
“Ah, I see we have a guest in our midst. Aaron Turunen, how nice to meet you!”
Aaron smiled and went up to the head table to shake hands with Albus, “Professor Dumbledore. It’s been a while.”
Everyone caught their breath seeing the famous Muggle-born prodigy Aaron Turunen in the school shaking hands with the Headmaster. Mutters and whispers of admiration echoed through the Hall. Jude was not impressed, especially when she was still sore about him getting undivided attention from Prof. Snape.
“Hmph! Mr. Popularity again, aren’t we?”
“Yes, yes, of course, Mr. Turunen,” Albus grinned in his old twinkling way. “It’s been a while since you graduated. How are you doing so far?”
“Good. Very good.”
“Well, well, if it isn’t Mr. Turunen.”
Aaron turned to see Draco standing in front of him with his arms folded across his chest, looking at him with a I’m-not-impressed sign on his face, his fat henchmen forever following at his wake. His smug and tone really reminded him of Lucius Malfoy, but he also reminded himself that not all children are chips off the old block.
“Hey, Draco,” Aaron tried to greet him as friendly as possible.
“I see you know Mr. Turunen, Mr. Malfoy,” Albus noted.
“Are you kidding?” Draco smirked. “It’s rare to have a Mudblood celebrity these days.”
“Watch it, Malfoy!” Ron stood up immediately, angered at the fact that Draco was showing disrespect to his idol.
“Don’t worry, I’m used to it,” Aaron said, then gave Draco a stare so dark that even his father would be scared off. Draco backed away at the stare.
“I…uh…I guess I’ll be going…”
“Woah! He must be scared shitless!” Ron whispered to Harry, who in turn nodded in admiration.
While he took his leave, Draco spotted Jude sitting beside Hermione enjoying a chocolate chip cookie. He walked over to her and said, “Hey, little Miss I’m-in-Love-with-Snape.”
“Hey, that was years ago!” Jude protested. “You little Mister Daddy’s-Little-Boy!”
“Whatever,” Draco scoffed, then nods at Aaron’s direction and sneered, “Besides, you have a thing for Mudbloods, haven’t you? What with you always sitting at the Gryffindors table instead of hanging out with your real friends.”
“Shut it!” Aaron suddenly came in between Draco and Jude, pointing his wand at Draco’s face. Everyone tensed at the sight of Aaron the Muggle-born prodigy having a face-off with Draco the son of a member of the Ministry.
“No, Aaron, it’s not worth it,” Harry tried to coax him out of this situation. The last thing they needed is a fight to ruin the tribute dinner.
“Mudblood lover,” Draco made a face at Jude, not wanting to let up.
“Leave me alone, Malfoy!”
The people present would’ve just dismissed her outburst as the usual teenage spat if it wasn’t for the sudden scene where Jude’s eyes started to glow red and her canine teeth grew into fangs without her even realizing it. Everyone, including Draco who was face to face with her, and the professors, were shocked to see Jude hissing like a snake as she shoved Aaron aside and glared intently at Draco with an anger that undermined the phrase ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn’, her eyes glowing as if there was a fire burning within her soul. Draco doubled back and quickly made a run for it while Ron couldn’t contain his shock the moment he saw her reaction.
“Bloody hell!”
“What the…?” Aaron was equally shocked. The aura she was giving was familiar. Very familiar. It was as if he was reliving something he wished had never happened in the first place.
Soon Jude was broken out from her anger trance and everything on her face shrunk back to normal. The first thing she saw after recovering was an entire Great Hall of people staring at her in horror. The silence was so thick, you could hear a rice drop.
“Huh? What? Did I miss something?”
There was definitely something familiar that Aaron had sensed from her. He excused himself and grabbed her by the hand, taking her out of the Great Hall to a nearby corridor, closing the door on the way out.
“Wha…Wait! Wait! What is going on?! Where the hell are you taking me?!” Jude demanded as she found herself dragged and pinned against the wall.
“Stay still.”
Jude instinctively did so at the authoritative voice of Aaron. She knew better than to retaliate when he started using that tone on her. He began to examine her with his wand and chanted spells she had never heard before.
“Umm…What are you doing?”
“I sense a great evil power in you.”
“Wha…Me? You’re kidding, right?”
“It seems…familiar.”
“Umm…How familiar? Why was everyone looking at me at the Great Hall just now?” Jude asked, but was met with the silent concentration on Aaron’s face as he continued to examine her. She demanded, “Aaron, you got to be honest with me. What is going on? What just happened?”
“You were displaying powers of evil,” Aaron finally replied. “I sense the Dark Lord in you.”
“Wha…What?! No, that’s impossible! You’re lying!”
“I don’t lie, ever,” Aaron said as he called forth for his broom Firebolt.
“Why are you calling your broom?” Jude asked suspiciously.
“I’m gonna take you back to my place so that we can be alone.”
Jude quickly backed away, feeling a sense of wary, “I feels something’s not right here. I won’t…I’m not going with you.”
“You want everyone to get you here?!” Aaron asked as he held out his hand for her to take.
“No…No! I can’t be associated to the Dark Lord! That’s impossible!” Jude said fearfully as she backed away even further. “I have nothing to do with the Dark Lord! I’m not from the Dark Lord! I’m not! I’M NOT!!!”
Her screams of denial suddenly broke every glass and everything else breakable within her proximity: from the vases along the corridor to the stained window panes and even to the glass of every framed portraits and picture frames (causing the people inside it to flee for their lives). Aaron covered his ears, his hands getting cut by the shards of glass that flew at every direction. By the time she realized what had just happened, Jude was overwhelmed at the mess she made, with more glass fragments falling like rain all over her and people starting to come out to see what the commotion was about. Jude trembled in fear at the velocity of the situation. Was she really a relation to evil? Did she really possess the power of evil? Was she…the spawn of evil…?
“H…Help me…” Jude pleaded, her knees buckling.
“Come on!” Aaron exclaimed as he grabbed her and flew off on his broom. “Hang on! We’ll be safe at my place.”
Jude nodded and grabbed on tight to Aaron. Somehow at this moment, she felt as if he was the only one in the whole world she could count on.
Aaron winced as he felt the sting from his cut wounds piercing him like knives. Jude noticed this and saw the cuts. She couldn’t help feeling guilty.
“Sorry…for that…”
“It’s OK…”
“How can this be? How could I have the Dark Lord’s powers? I know nothing of him except what you told me. I’ve been raised a Muggle all my life…I…”
Jude couldn’t hold back her tears. She couldn’t understand why that not only she was no longer normal, but she was also possibly evil. She couldn’t figure out why everything bad had to happen to her ever since the day she set foot into the world of magic. She couldn’t understand her fate at all.
As they went on their way to their apartment, Jude buried her face into Aaron’s back and cried pools of tears, denial at her ill-gotten luck in store for her in the future.
“Cho’s not here,” Jude whispered. “Where is she?”
“She’s too devastated to join the feast,” Hermione whispered back. “She wanted to go home early and Dumbledore had just gave her permission to leave. She couldn’t bear the pain.”

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 2
“Hey, Har. How’re you doing?”
“Like I had just been slammed by a Muggle bulldozer, thank you very much.”
Aaron and Judith finally reached Hogwarts and had made their way to the Hospital Wing where Harry was still recovering from his wounds sustained from his encounter with the Dark Lord, and also with the Mad-Eye Moody impostor. Ron was, as usual, beside him trying to cheer his ol’ pal up.
“Aye, Jude, how’re you doing?” Ron asked. Though he knew Judith—known as Jude to everyone—was a Slytherin, he had always been slightly fond of her for her lack of discrimination Slytherins tend to take pride in portraying, and her good-natured way of making friends, although it was still a little hard for him to warm up entirely with her. Not that she blamed him.
“I’m fine, Ron. Here,” Jude said as she passed the flowers to Harry, “for you.”
“Thanks, girl. You’re the best.”
“Bloody hell! Aren’t you Aaron Turunen?!” Ron exclaimed in shock at upon seeing Aaron coming up from behind her.
“You know your people,” Aaron smirked.
“Yeah, guys, this is Aaron Turunen,” Jude introduced her best friend to the guys. “He’s my neighbor and my best friend since his 5th year in Hogwarts. Aaron, I’m sure you know Harry Potter, and this is Ronald Weasley, his life-long companion. You know him, Ron?”
“Know him?” Ron stared at Jude’s ignorance in disbelief. “I’ve heard so much about you from other students including my brother. I heard he was the previous Quidditch Champion for every season and a member of the Order of the Phoenix my parents been talking a lot about. Not to mention a very powerful Muggle-born wizard! I’m surprised you didn’t know! Call yourself his best friend!”
“Well, well, now. How quaint,” Jude grinned as she nudged Aaron. “Seems to me you’re more popular than our Boy Who Lived here.”
“Well, everyone does know me, sorta,” Aaron grinned, blushing a bit at all the successes he’d been achieving.
“Glad to be off the fame list for a while,” Harry noted as he looked at Aaron admiringly.
“Nay, I don’t believe that. I mean, you survived the Dark Lord.”
“But you survived him too, when You-Know-Who tried to eliminate the Muggles of their Muggle-born children!” Ron said. “I’ve read about the Muggle massacre in those old newspapers my father used to keep. Your family was listed as one of them. In fact, you’re the only Muggle-born in history ever to survive the Killing Curse! Harry’s not the only Boy Who Lived around here anymore, no offence, mate.”
“None taken,” Harry took it humorously. “Besides, that’s ancient history now. I’m surprised you were not recognized the way I did, Aaron.”
“But you were an infant when I was 4 when Voldemort went on that massacre rampage,” Aaron replied as he sat down in front of Harry. He showed Harry the deep huge scar he sustained during the attack and continued, “You may not be the only one with the scar, but your survival was greater than mine. I was half-dead, bleeding like hell when they found me. You only had a scratch.”
“Fair enough.”
“So, uh, we’ve been reading the Daily Prophet,” Jude finally brought out the question, “Is it true, Har, about Voldemort…?”
“Aye…” Harry nodded.
“It’s rather hard to believe…” Ron said, scratching his chin nervously.
“And Ced…is he really…?” Aaron asked tentatively. Harry nodded.
“With the Killing Curse, right in front of my eyes.”
“My best friend…he’s dead…” Aaron gripped a fist, then slammed it onto the wall, “Damn it!”
“Calm down, man,” Ron said, shocked at his reaction. “It’s not your fault.”
“He’s right, Aaron,” Jude agreed as she went over to lay her hands on his shoulders, trying t o lessen the tension. “It’s Voldemort’s fault. It’s not your burden to bear.”
“It’s my fault actually…” Harry said as he started to break into tears. “I should’ve saved him…I shouldn’t have involved him into this madness…”
“Harry, listen,” Aaron said as he eyed Harry’s wand, reminding him of the Dark Lord’s. “You’re not the only one who wants Voldemort dead.”
“I know…But the look on his face when he died…the way his father cried when he saw his son dead…I feel…so helpless…”
“I will find him, and I will use the Unforgivable Curse on the one who killed my parents. Just you wait.”
“You will get your chance, Aaron,” Jude assured him as she hugged the crestfallen Harry. “Hush…Harry. Dry your tears. It’s not a burden for either of you to bear.”
“You mad?! Using the Unforgivable Curse?!” Ron exclaimed in horror. “You’ll get locked up for using it!”
“But I used a curse once,” Aaron said nonchalantly. “The Cruciatus Curse, in fact.”
“Bloody hell!”
“Did you get arrested for that?” Jude asked.
“Nope,” Aaron shook his head. “The Ministry let me off because I used it to catch a Death Eater.”
“That’s a relief,” Ron said, wiping off an imaginary sweat.
“I will find Voldemort with you, Aaron,’ Harry announced in determination, “and I will kill him with my own bare hands, but only when I’m strong enough…”
“The time will come when you get there, Har,” Jude gave as much of a support of a Slytherin and a friend could give him. While they talked about other matters, Hermione suddenly popped in for a visit.
“Hey, guys. Hey, Jude…Oh my God, aren’t you Aaron Turunen?!”
Aaron blushed at the sight of the brown-haired beauty before him and replied, “Aye, that I am.”
“Here we go…” Jude rolled her eyes in exasperation, obviously tired of everyone treating Harry or Aaron like some movie celebrity.
“Oh my God, you are like the pioneer for all Hogwarts graduates!” Hermione said as she shook his hand vigorously. “I’ve read all about you! Hogwarts School Valedictorian 7 years in a row, Champion of Quidditch, member of the Order, Master in elementary spells and potions…God, you’re a genius! You’re my one-time idol!”
“Wow, seems like he’s got a fan, Harry,” Ron grinned.
“That he does,” Harry grinned as well. “Aaron, this is Hermione Granger, our resident Insufferable Know-It-All.”
“OK, OK,” Jude pried the ecstatic Hermione off Aaron. “Oy, you’re gonna dislocate his shoulder that way.”
Aaron could only grin sheepishly at their antics.
“So how’s Cho handling this, Mione?”
Hermione shook her head, “Not good. She’s locked up in her room crying her eyes out and refused to eat or drink. She kept wanting to leave home early to mourn for him.”
“Poor Cho. Must be hard to lose her boyfriend like that.”
“Aye, that poor girl,” Aaron agreed.
“What’s going on here?”
Everyone turned to see the ever famous Potions Master Severus Snape standing in his usual cold statue style, glaring at each and every one of them in distaste. Despite his years as a professor in Hogwarts, he was the only person to have never really aged. With his hooked nose, sallow skin and greasy hair, and forever dressed in conservative black attire, he walked around the school grounds like he owned the place and never really succumb to the change of time. Some even rumoured he could be a vampire in real life that sucked people’s blood or whatever, but many knew better than to think something absurd like that. Jude immediately went bright red at the sight of him.
“Err…Err…Hello, Professor…Just visiting a wounded friend, is all…”
“Ms. Light,” Snape gave her a disapproving look. “Still flirting as always, I see.”
“Am not…”
“Hey, Professor,” Aaron greeted him, also gaining a little colour at upon seeing him.
“Well, well, if it isn’t Hogwarts’ child prodigy.”
“Aye, sir…”
Harry and the gang looked from left to right awkwardly. So far, in the history of Hogwarts, Jude was the only person ever dared to raise her voice, speak outspokenly and talk back at Prof. Snape despite the fact that her house points could be threatened. They had known Jude to be a bit blatant in pursuing Snape regardless the failures, and sometimes applaud Jude for her courage to stand up against him when her own housemates could not. But now seeing Aaron warming up so easily to Prof. Snape, and earning a pat on the head by the legendary Ice King of Hogwarts right in front of their eyes as we speak, they couldn’t decide who was the luckier of the two.
“Keep up the good work, boy. You turned out much better than our dunderhead Mr. Potter here.”
“Thank you, sir.”
Jude scowled a little at the way Snape displayed his affection to Aaron and jumped in between them, asking, “So, uh, Professor…I heard that you’ve apprehended an impostor. Who might that be?”
“That would be Mr. Bartie Crouch Jr.,” Snape replied, backing away a little from her.
“Really? Who did he impersonate?”
“Mad-Eye Moody,” Harry replied.
“Alastor Moody?” Aaron exclaimed. “No way!”
“Goodness, how did he manage?” Jude asked.
“Polyjuice,” Harry replied distastefully. “Nuff said.”
“I should’ve known,” Hermione snapped her fingers, “what with him drinking from his bottle all the time.”
“Bartie Crouch Jr…Sounds familiar…” Jude tapped her chin in thought. “Is he the son of that guy from the Ministry Mr. Bartie Crouch who just died recently while he was chairing the Tournament?”
“Yes, he’s been convicted of being a Death Eater, thanks to Moody,” Snape confirmed her questions. “I believe it was a personal vendetta when he decided to impersonate him.”
“Oh, Professor, how brave of you. I wish I could see that,” Jude said as she leaned close to Snape, not even caring when the professor gave her his usual cold stare.
“Oh boy…” Hermione rolled her eyes, obviously seeing this scene once too many times, followed by everyone else.
“Bloody hell…”
“Tell me about it.”
“Good Lord, Judith…”
“I would love to see you in action again,” Jude continued to ogle at him, her eyes twinkling.
“Ms. Light, please lighten yourself from me, or it’s 10 points from you.”
“Oh, OK, sorry,” Jude finally realized she was all out with the flirting again and moved away. “Old habits die hard these days.”
“I’m just here to check on you, Mr. Potter,” Snape said. “Under Dumbledore’s orders, of course. Since you seem to be upbeat enough to be entertaining your friends, I assume that you are well. I shall take my leave then. Good day, Mr. Turunen.”
So saying, he gave another pat on Aaron’s head before heading out of the Hospital Wing. Jude waved goodbye to Snape as her last attempt to get his attention, then turned to Aaron and scowled, “That was my pat you stole!!!”
“God, Jude, give it up!” Hermione groaned. “Snape’s never gonna associate himself with a student, ever!”
“He just did with Aaron!! No fair, no fair, no fair!”
“Is it just me…or does Aaron seem to have a thing for Snape?” Ron asked suspiciously.
“Huh? Wha…Uh…Um…” Aaron broke from his trance after being replaced from Snape’s pat to Jude’s noogie.
“You took my pat, you took my pat, you took my pat!!!” Jude gave Aaron a very big fat noogie as she squealed like a scorn fangirl. Hermione had to pry her off him.
“Please, Jude, control yourself!”
“You seem to have some going on with Snape. What’s your secret?” Harry asked, giving him a mischievous grin.
“I just do what I was told and aced all my potions exams, is all,” Aaron replied, blushing a little.
“I did that too! Why did he not notice me?!” Jude squealed as she struggled in Hermione’s arms, wanting to give Aaron another noogie.
“Maybe because he’s a teacher’s pet,” Ron suggested.
“Gah!! No fair, no fair, no fair!!!”
Ron and Harry couldn’t help but laugh and snicker at Jude’s blatant obsession with Snape.
“I suppose no one from the Ministry believed a word you said, did they?” Hermione asked after forcing Jude to calm down some. Harry shook his head.
“Not a soul, not even that bastard Cornelius Fudge.”
“The Ministry is a bunch of fools,” Aaron spat, with Jude nodding in agreement.
“I can see why Dumbledore never got along with them,” Hermione grinned as she helped arrange the carnations Jude got for Harry.
“He never did follow their terms to the book. He always have his way of weaving around the corners of the rules.”
“That’s Dumbledore for you,” Jude said, smiling happily, remembering the first time she met the jovial old man during her tour around the Hogwarts castle when her mother discussed her enrolment into the school.
“Aye, Dumbledore’s the best,” Aaron nodded, agreeing with Harry and Jude’s statement.
“I heard our end of semester feast tomorrow is going to be a sort of funeral dinner to dedicate to Cedric,” Harry said. “You guys wanna come along?”
“Aye, anything for Ced.”
“You, Jude?”
“I dunno. Maybe, I guess,” Jude replied hesitantly.
“Judith, I know you’re not a crowd or a people person but,” Aaron lay a hand on her shoulder, “at least do it for me. It’s my best friend we’re talking about here.”
Jude blushed at the touch. She thought for a moment, wondering whether to endure a whole day Aaron-less tomorrow or endure the usual taunts and jeers and isolation of her peers as an outcast.
The choice wasn’t too hard to make.
“Oh, alright. For you.”
Harry and the gang could tell that there is more going on between those two best friends.

Harry Potter & The Heirs of the Damned-Chapter 1
The sun shone brightly into the apartment windows, illumination the dark bedroom. Aaron blinked at the light and woke up, stretching his lazy bones.
“Sigh…Another day has come,” Aaron said to himself as he slowly got out of bed, checking if any owls have sent him the news or letters. As soon as he stepped out of his room, he was greeted by a girl lying on his couch in the living room readgin a Muggle novel.
“Good God, Judith! Have you ever heard of knocking?”
“Good morning to you too.”
It was a normal routine for Judith Cecelia Light, next door neighbour and best friend of Aaron Turunen, to just climb into his apartment through their connected verandah every morning. A 13-year-old lively robust girl with chocolate-brown hair and ruby-red eyes, she was a fellow student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where Aaron had recently graduated from, under the house of Slytherin. She had known Aaron since he was in his 5th year at Hogwarts, and when she was officially enrolled into the school, she and Aaron were like peas and carrots. Despite the fact that she was a Slytherin, she insisted on making friends with Aaron who was a Gryffindor, and Harry and his gang, thus earned her reputation as a mudblood lover among her dorm mates.
Aaron, on the other hand, was an 18-year-old Muggle-born, son of Thomas and Ariel Turunen, with dark-brown hair and hazel-brown eyes. A fresh graduate from Hogwarts, Aaron Turunen was in the middle of an unemployment crisis. Though Muggle-born, he was known as one of the brightest and most powerful wizards next to Harry James Potter the Boy Who Lived, and had aced many fields during his time in Hogwarts. He was also recently elected as one of the members of the Order of the Phoenix, a secret underground freedom fighter team against the world’s most notorious wizard in the history: Lord Voldemort a.k.a. You-Know-Who a.k.a. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named; and was a master in elemental magic and potions. You could say that he was like the male-version of Hermione Granger, only better.
“Do you really have to read that stupid Muggle book?” Aaron asked as he ruffled Judith’s hair, grimacing at the title of the book she was reading: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF SUNNYDALE THE WHITE WITCH. “You know the Muggles think differently about the magical world comparing to the reality of the situation.”
“That’s the beauty of it,” Judith grinned. “I get to laugh at their stupidity.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be joining the festivities of the end of the Tri-Wizard Tournament? Your best friend Harry Potter and my best friend Cedric Diggory were competing against two leading prestigious schools and each other, you know. You should be celebrating with them instead of leaving school early to hang out with boring old me.”
“I don’t do gatherings and big tournaments like those,” Judith pouted, turning back to her book. “I’m not a crowd kind of person. It’s just a stupid game. No different than the Olympic Games in the Muggle world. I’d rather be here with you.”
Aaron sighed and shook his head. He knew the real reason why she did not want to join the festivities: she was an outcast among her Slytherin friends and no one would want to be alongside with her while she cheered for the school. Hermione and Ron, though also friends with her, never really warmed up very much to her because of her being a Slytherin, and Slytherins and Gryffindors have always been enemy houses since the dawn of time. The only people ever made an effort to befriend her were Harry and himself. She was a poor little girl caught in the middle of a crack, and there’s nothing she could do about it.
“Any papers for today?” Aaron looked around for any sign of the Daily Prophet.
“There, on the coffee table,” Judith replied, pointing without looking away from her book. “Your owl Lola just brought it in.”
“Thanks.”
Aaron picked up the Daily Prophet where Judith directed him to and began to flip through the headlines when the front page and its picture caught his eye. Soon the whole apartment was shaken by his exclamation.
“NO WAY!!!”
“What is it, Aaron?” Judith asked, finally distracted.
Aaron went over to the couch and showed her the headlines: TRAGEDY AT TRI-WIZARD TOURNAMENT. It spoke of a disastrous accident happening during the finals that killed one of the participants. They were even shocked to know that the participant killed was none other than Cedric Diggory, Aaron’s best friend.
“Oh God, that’s horrible! How did it happen?!” Judith exclaimed. There had never been heard of a death in Hogwarts for years and now this actually happened before her very eyes.
“ ‘Cedric Diggory, upon investigations on his body,’ ” Aaron read the article, “ ‘had been found to have sustained the Avada Kedavra curse, one of the Unforgivable Curses, although it has yet to be confirmed exactly the cause of death. Sources claim that a witness by the name Harry James Potter a.k.a. the Boy Who Lived claimed to have seen Cedric killed by the so-called Dark Lord, which of course was immediately regarded as a trauma-induced statement…’ ”
Aaron’s voice began to fade away as he dropped the paper, with the picture of Cedric and his father smiling at the camera. Judith noticed Aaron’s face had gone dark and hateful, and she began to worry.
“Aaron, you OK?” she asked, putting a hand on his face. “Who is this Dark Lord they’re talking about?”
“He’s Lord Voldemort, the most evil wizard known to everyone,” Aaron replied as he began to explain everything: from Voldemort’s dark awakenings to his monstrous atrocities committed throughout both the world of magic and Muggles alike, to his brief downfall after his encounter with Harry Potter, the famous Boy Who Lived, the only person ever in history to have survived the Avada Kedavra curse.
“You make him sound like he’s Hitler or something,” Judith said in an almost disbelief tone. Being brought up her whole life as a Muggle before discovering that she was adopted and was actually a pure-blood witch had made her rather new and ignorant to Hogwarts and the magical world’s culture in general. Being an outcast among her peers and being someone who mostly kept herself to herself do not help either to prepare her for the possibilities of a frightful evil comeback.
“Judith, he murdered Harry’s parents when he was a baby. Is that not much of a Hitler to you?”
“OK, now that’s bad.”
“And…one of his Death Eaters murdered mine,” he said sadly, instinctively rubbing the scar on his neck that served as a reminder of the day he witnessed his parents got tortured to death by the Cruciatus Curse.
“I know about Death Eaters. The news talked about them appearing during the Quidditch Games. I didn’t think they’d be related to Voldemort.”
“Now you do.”
“But is it true? Do you really think Voldemort killed Cedric the way Harry described it?”
Aaron nodded. “No one in their right mind would want to use an Unforgivable Curse intentionally on someone. You’d get arrested for it. It had to be him.”
“Shouldn’t you be verifying the facts with him? You are, after all, from the Order.”
“Can’t…I haven’t gotten the letter from Dumbledore yet.”
Judith picked up the paper and looked at Cedric’s picture with his father/ ever since she received the enrolment letter from Hogwarts and found out from her Muggle family that she was actually adopted all along, she had been curious about her wizard/witch lineage. Most importantly, since her Muggle mother told her that her real mother had passed away after she was born, she wondered a lot about the identity of her real father. The main question that often popped out of her head was: Why, when the world of magic is so much powerful and convenient than the dreary old Muggle world, her father never tried to come and look for her?
Guess it was one of the reasons why she related well to Aaron who also lost his parents at a young age before he could barely get to know them.
“Maybe I should go visit him and ask him. Like visiting a sick friend, in a way, but just helping you verify his story. I am close to him next to Ron and Mione after all.”
“I’ll go with you,” Aaron suggested, pocketing his trusted wand. “Information works best first-handed.”
“Let’s stop by at Diagon Alley,” Judith said as she put on her school robes that bore the badge of her Slytherin house. “I wanna buy some flowers for Harry. Flora always makes patients feel better.”
“OK then,” Aaron replied as he gets into his trench coat and fedora and put in his pocket watch. Judith grabbed a handful of Floo powder and waited for Aaron in the fireplace. As soon as he got ready she took his hand and shouted “Diagon Alley!” before dropping the Floo powder, sending them straight into the busy streets of the age-old Diagon Alley, the heart of the wizarding community.
“Diagon Alley,” Aaron took a deep breath and sighed. “Aye, it’s been 3 years since I’ve been here last.”
“The last time I’ve been here was last Christmas when I tried to get presents for Harry and the gang,” Judith chuckled humorously, trying to push aside the bitter memory of spending the final hours of Christmas alone in the common room. She went into a flower shop to buy some carnations for Harry while Aaron went to the wand shop, being his favourite place to hang out when he was a student. After her flower shopping, she searched for him there.
“Aah, reminds me of the day I got my wand.”
“Same,” Aaron said as he showed his wand to her. “Holly and phoenix feathers.”
“Cool! Nice design and colour,” Judith complimented as she took hers out as well. “Check out mine. Dragon heartstring and ash. Hmm…come to think of it, I met my first love here.”
“Your wand looks nice.”
“Thanks. Suddenly finding out that I’m a witch was quite terrifying for me. I didn’t want to have anything to do with this place actually. It’s because of meeting my first love here in this shop that led me to be willing to give up the Muggle life for this. It was he who changed my mind.”
“He who?” Aaron asked as they left the shop and walked towards the direction of Hogwarts.
“Potions Master Prof. Severus Snape,” Judith replied, blushing red. “He was my first love.”
Aaron suddenly stopped in his tracks, his eyes widened in disbelief. Prof. Snape, of all people? What was she thinking?
“What?” Judith asked, surprised by his sudden reaction.
“You had a crush on my favourite teacher?”
“Well…sorta…” Judith replied bashfully, twirling her finger around a stray hair on her head. “I met him for the first time when he was chit-chatting with Malfoy’s father outside the store.”
Lucius… Aaron thought, gripping a fist.
“I accidentally bumped into Snape and he gave me that sort of cold look that sent chills through my spine, but instead of going pale with fear, I actually blushed…And then I tried to confess my love one day to Snape during my 2nd year but he replied,” she imitated Snape’s voice for this, “ ‘Please concentrate more on your studies than your unbecoming infatuation over me’.
“I guess we’re not meant to be, but I still admire him from time to time,” she ended her story with a weak laugh. Rejection, even by her own house teacher, was not something she could easily stomach.
“Snape always liked how much of a hard worker I was,” Aaron replied, his tone sounding slightly jealous, “even though I was a Gryffindor.”
“Really now? Well, don’t you take advantage of being an Order member and monopolize my darling…Oh God, your hand’s bleeding!”
Had she not rambled on and on, she would have noticed that Aaron had growled at hearing Lucius Malfoy’s name being mentioned and had gripped his fist so hard it bled. Judith took his hand and saw that he had dug his nails through his palm and was bleeding crimson red.
“Yeah…It was when you mentioned Lucius, Malfoy’s father.”
Judith looked at him for a while, realizing what was going on before asking, “He’s the Death Eater you were talking abut, isn’t he?”
Aaron closed his eyes and nodded. Despite the fact that he knew the true nature of Lucius Malfoy, and witnessing him killing his parents even, there was never enough to prove him guilty. Lucius, together with his wealth and power, had convinced the Ministry of Magic so well about him serving the Dark Lord under the Imperius Curse that the Ministry was willing to fully pardon him and his family and accept him back into society. All records of his evil-doings were erased and he was rendered as innocent as an angel. There was nothing, not even his reputation as a powerful Muggle-born wizard, that could do to convict Lucius and put him behind Azkaban doors.
“I want justice…I want vengeance…but I don’t want to become evil like him…”
“I’m so sorry…” Judith replied as she instinctively brought Aaron’s wounds to her lips to suck off the blood like she always did when her brothers at home got hurt. Aaron started to turn bright red as he felt her lips and tongue trailing along his stinging wound, his heart pounding faster than a bullet train. Judith soon realized what she was doing and quickly cast a healing spell over his wounds, blushing red as well.
“We better get going…” Judith muttered as she turned around and continued walking, not daring to face him. He followed behind her, still blushing a little.
Somehow, deep within their hearts, they were glad for what just happened.
“Sigh…Another day has come,” Aaron said to himself as he slowly got out of bed, checking if any owls have sent him the news or letters. As soon as he stepped out of his room, he was greeted by a girl lying on his couch in the living room readgin a Muggle novel.

This is something that we did waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when. It managed to make it into a fic, but I kinda got tired of it and stopped barely into Chp6, which I got from Kita. We both don't have the copies of RPs (him not sure where, and mine lost after reformatting my PC), so I decided to post up whatever we have in fic form.
Just to share it to everyone before we continue on to Kitty Pride.

Kitty Pride-Chapter 1
*In a distant future, where humans gained features and abilities of animals over time, a young man named Tora was in his apartment, waiting for a test stick to turn color. He leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath as he looked at the results*
Tora: Positive...*he signs again* I might as well call him and tell him the news
Tora: Positive...*he signs again* I might as well call him and tell him the news
Jinbei: *had been wondering wht was wrong with Tora as he brushed his hair n the fur of his ears n tails. Since their drunken one night stand, he n his best friend Tora had stopped talking to each other n always looked at each other awkwardly, not wanting to be the first to admit wht had happened*
Tora: *Tora had the features of a white tiger. He had the ears, the tail, the claws, fangs and the eyes. Not to mention, he's quite a strong and fast sucker, despite his height of 5'9". He walked to the phone and dialed down Jinbei's number, hoping he'll pick up*
Jinbei: *had features of a lion. He had everything except the crazy-ass mane, n is also equally as fast n agile, n was taller by a few inches than Tora. He hears the phone n answered it* Hello?
Tora: Hey Jinbei...it's Tora...you won't believe this....
Jinbei: *surprised to hear him* Oh, finally decided to talk to me now, arent ya?
Tora: Jinbei...I'm pregnant
Jinbei: *his mind went blank for a moment before he muttered* Come again?
Tora: I am pregnant, Jin. I went through three pregnancy sticks
Jinbei: *dropped the phone in shock, along with himself*
Tora: Jin! JIN!
Jinbei: @_@ *KO-ed*
Tora: *he hung up the phone and got his coat on, due to the pouring rain outside. He picked up his keys and his cell, locking his apartment and headed to Jinbei's residence*
Jinbei: *was laying beside the phone, totally unconscious*
Tora: *the white tiger reached the door and turned the knob, knowing it was unlocked and noticed that Jinbei was still on the floor. He shook his head and walked to him, shaking him*
Jinbei: *groaned, slowly stirring* Ugh...! Wht happened...?
Tora: You fainted when I told you I was pregnant
Jinbei: S...So it...wasnt a dream...
Tora: No, it isn't
Jinbei: How the...Ur a man! Its impossible!
Tora: I'm an intersexual
Jinbei: Wht? Tht's vry rare. It's probably one out of 10,000 births!
Tora: Lucky me...I hit the jackpot
Jinbei: I dont find being knocked up as lucky
Tora: I was being sarcastic
Jinbei: So...wht r we to do now?
Tora: I'm two months along..*pulls his shirt up to show the bulge in his stomach*
Jinbei: *blushed for a moment n reaches ovr to touch it* I...cant believe I'm...a father...
Tora: You wanna keep it?
Jinbei: I...I dunno, it's all so sudden for me...
Tora: Well. It'll be a while till I know what we're having
Jinbei: W...Wht would u do if I said no?
Tora: Then I'd get an abortion
Jinbei: Oh, n I was expecting u to say something like u'll take care of the child urself
Tora: Well...*he doesn't know what to say
Jinbei: Can I...think abt it for a while?
Tora: Please...I'll call my sister.
Jinbei: *nodded* I'm...still sorry though
Tora: I'm fine with it. *Calls on his cell*
Mar: *A bengal tiger answered the phone* Hello?
Tora: Hey Mar. It's Tora. Is my sister that?
Mar: Hey dude. Sure is.! Hon! It's for you!
Miho: Thanks love *takes the phone* Hello?
Tora: Hey sis. I got news for ya
Miho: Huh? Wht? R u arrested n need my bail?
Tora: No no, it's nothing like that. It's good news
Miho: Phew! For a moment I thought I'm gonna hv to get u out of trouble again. So wht is it? U won a lottery?
Tora: You're gonna be an aunt ^^
Miho: Wow! Cool! Well, who's the blushing bride? Who did u knock up, eh~?
Tora: Uh...Miho...I am
Miho: Eeh~?! Who is the bastard who knocked u up?! I'll teach him a lesson!
Tora: My boyfriend, Jinbei. He's the dad
Miho: Wht did he say? If he says no, I'll kill him!
Tora: Hang on sis, he's thinking about it
Miho: Fine. Make sure he says yes, if not, I will kill him, boyfriend or not
Tora: Thanks sis
Jinbei: *can hear her frm the other line coz of her loud voice*
Tora: Wanna come over later on?
Miho: OK, sure
Mar: What's he saying?
Miho: *told her husband everything*
Mar: O_O Whoa...no way...
Miho: Yeah, I knw. My bro is an intersexual, so yeah, he can get pregnant, I just didnt think it'd be right now n by tht Jinbei
Mar: Jinbei? That big lion guy he's engaged with?
Miho: Yeah tht one. I think he's all brawn bt no brain tho. Bt if he likes him tht bad, I cant reli stop him. He has to make his own decisions
Tora: I heard that comment, sis!
Miho: Sorry, bro, bt it's true abt Jinbei. ALl brawn bt no brain. Well, I'll go ovr later
Tora: Thanks, cya sis. *hangs up*
Jinbei: She doesnt sound vry happy
Tora: She's just worried about me. Sisterly thing
Jinbei: A little extreme to be sisterly. She might hv a brother complex
Tora: Naw...*looks himself over in the mirror, notcing how big his bulge is as he rubs it
Jinbei: I suppose u most likely will hv a litter then
Tora: Naw, I think twins
Jinbei: I'm gonna go hv a drink first *walked away to the kitchen*
Tora: *follows him to the kitchen, getting a glass of milk
Jinbei: *made himself a tall glass of orange*
Tora: *gulps down his milk, more than he usually does
Jinbei: Guess the pregnancy got ur appetite more isnt it?
Tora: Yep, sure does. BBURRP! Excuse me ^//^
Jinbei: *chuckles as he drank his juice*
Tora: *sat down* So, have you made up your mind yet?
Jinbei: Wht? I thought u were going to let me think abt it
Tora: I know...but the suspense is killing me
Jinbei: I thought u would let me at least sleep on it. Ur gonna make me rush into a decision tht I might regret
Tora: *yawns* Okay. *goes to sleep on the couch8
Jinbei: Ur not actually gonna wait here until I make my decision, do u?
Tora: How can I go out there in the freezing weather?
Jinbei: *looked out* Good point. At least take the guestroom. I hv a bed there
Tora: Thanks. *he heaves himself up and walks to the guest room to take a catnap, for the lack of a better term*
Jinbei: *waited until he went to the guestroom before dialing up his best friend for advice*
Ari: Hello? *A panther answered the phone*
Jinbei: Yo, Ari. I got a bit of predicament
Ari: What is it, man?
Jinbei: Ugh...I just made the biggest mistake of my life
Ari: Mistake? Did Tora break up with you?
Jinbei: Worse. I knocked him up
Ari: No fuckin' way! How did he take it?
Jinbei: Totally fucking way. Bloody one night stand during our victory game celebration n he's now 2 mths pregnant. N he took it surprisingly well
Ari: If he wants to keep it, he should
Jinbei: *sigh* I dunno whether I should accept it or not. He seems to be fine with abortion wen I asked if I said no
Ari: Dude, he's saying that to hide his feelings. Did you look at his face?
Jinbei: Well...He looked normal, bt his eyes seemed a little...sad
Ari: He doesn't want to give it up...a life is a life, dude. You gotta keep it
Jinbei: I just dunno if I'm ready to be a dad
Ari: How old are ya?
Jinbei: Coming 21, going sophomore
Ari: And Tora's a couple months younger than ya, right?
Jinbei: Yeah, more or less
Ari: I think you two will be great folks
Jinbei: Does tht mean I'm gonna hv to marry him too?
Ari: well, that'll take time. You two can be still have a baby when you're not married
Jinbei: Yeah I guess ur right. I just dunno if I'm good enough for this parenthood thing
Ari: It'll take time to learn, dude. You gotta remember it comes naturally.
Jinbei: Wht if it doesnt? Wht if I suck? I mean, I love him n all, bt I dunno if I'm cut out for it
Ari: Wish I can comfort ya man. Just be there for him. Where is the mom-to-be, anyway?
Jinbei: Yeah. I knw. Mom-to-be? Snoozing away in my guest room
Ari: Is he big?
Jinbei: Got a bit of a baby bump. He might be having twins
Ari: Wow. Talk about a handful. Oh I'm sorry dude, I gotta go now. Finals and all. Cya!
Jinbei: Yeah, leave me to fend myself, why dontcha? *sighs n hangs up, then took a cigarette to smoke, giving it some deep thought*
Tora: *woke up from his nap, letting out a roar-like yawn*
Jinbei: Looks like someone's awake
Tora: *rubs his eyes and looks at his boyfriend* Hey Jin. *stood and stretched, his shirt pulling up a bit, showing his belly a bit*
Jinbei: *turns to see the baby bump n blushed a little*
Tora: Did you think it up? And you know I hate it when you smoke, you know that
Jinbei: Fine. I'll smoke somewhere else nxt time. *puts the cigarette up n sigh* I guess I dont hv a choice, do I? I love u, Tora, n if it means helping u with the child n accepting it, I guess I will accept it
Tora: Do you really mean it? I just want you to be there. *wraps his arms around him* We've known each other since high school
Jinbei: Yeah. I remember. Ur the one who came up to me wen no one wants to be friends with me coz of my punk attitude
Tora: And that's why I love you. You have an attitude and you didn't take crap from no one
Jinbei: Heh. Remember the time wen u were in heat n u were chased aftr every hormonal animal in school? Evn the bears were interested in u
Tora: Oh God. *snickers* Don't remind of of that. The principal had to lock everyone up
Jinbei: Tht's coz ur rare. One of those breeds were ur blood is of the highest class. I'm more of the middle class cats, bcoz despite being a lion, I'm actually half-street cat. So yeah
Tora: *wiggles his ears and plants a kiss on his lover's lips*
Jinbei: *kissed him bk gently, tho he didnt want to kiss too deep coz he just smoked*
Tora: I swear...I'm gonna feel more like a whale pretty soon
Jinbei: Tht's the least of ur worries. Ur worries right now r the rivals
Tora: What rivals?? Oh yea... 'those' rivals
Jinbei: Yeah. Those who would be jealous of u being seeded by a middle-class. U r of the highest class, meaning ur the purest of blood with no mix in btwn. Its vry rare. If anyone knws ur having my child, they will not hesitate to make u lose the child so they can impregnate u instead
Tora: That's why I have my sister and you
Jinbei: True enough *leans forward to nip his neck*
Tora: *murrs from the nip, feeling his lover's hand on his stomach, meows at him
Jinbei: *feels the baby bump in his hand* Mmh, I cant believe our kittens r growing in there
Tora: *Smiles and pulled his shirt up, giving Jinbei a better view of his stomach* They sure are.
Jinbei: *leaned dwn to nuzzle it* Heh, it feels so warm
Tora: *rubbed the top of his stomach with his other hand on his side, smiling down at his boyfriend*
Jinbei: Wht do u think they may be? Male? Female? One of each?
Tora: As long as they're health and good, it doesn't matter to me
Jinbei: I'm hoping for both to be males. Call me old-fashioned, bt I prefer our first-borns to be boys
Tora: ^^
