Edge of Reason-A Marauders RP (Part 2)

The dorm they had been given was about the size of the dorm rooms as Hogwarts, but they were split up into a very tiny passing room from the outer door to the three inner doors. James was the first in, claming the bed by the windo. "All mine, bitches."

Sirius: Hey~! I had dibs on the window side first~! *grumbles as he took the other one which was nearest to the toilet*

"Sure." He grinned. Jumpping on the bed. "Hey Moony, did you get the window bed in the other room?" James called out.

Remus: *called out* Yeah, I did. Apparently I'm bunking in with another roommate by the name of "Snape". Havent seen him yet. Our names were at the door wen I came

"Proably a goody good." James got up and started un backing. When the outer door opened.

Severus was glad that his mother had to work that day or she would have gone with him. He brought only a small back of clothes, the money needed for the school supplies carefully tucked away. He went into the room that held his name and sat his bag on the bed.

"Did you see him?" James as Sirius. "Looked like a black bat, that one." He laughed.

Sirius: *took a peek, bt was only able to see his bk* Reminds me of a vampire, is more like it

Remus: *rolled his eyes at their comment n came up to Sev* Hi, I'm Remus, Remus Lupin. Ur roommate *held out his hand to shake, being tht he was the more gentle n friendlier of the Marauders*

Severus looked at him then took his hand and shook it. "Severus Snape." Severus had never been around another wizard in his life.

Remus: Severus Snape? Tht is a rather unique name. Where r u frm? Hogwarts? Durmstrang? Beauxbaton?

"I was....." He turned his back, feeling so embarrassed. Maybe he should have told him mom that he was out with the aprinteship school. "..homeschool."

Remus: Oh! Tht's vry rare! Well, I'm sure u'll fit right once u get to knw a real school environment. N we'll help you out, wont we, guys? *turned to James n Siri who were peeking in to the door, knwing their antics*

Sirius: *sees Sev in full face n felt a little overwhelmed by the mysterious aura he gave off* Umm, yeah, sure, we will

Severus looked up and his heart stopped. This man was fucking hot. He looked back down his to his bag to start un packing. "Thank you."

"Do we have to?" James winned into Sirius ear so no one esle could hear.

"Uh, where do I go to get my books?" He put up only three shirst and three pants that he had mended so they at least looked ok.

Sirius: *whispered bk* Of course we will. 'Sides, with Wormtail gone, the Marauders ain't complete, can it? *turns to Sev* Oh, I can take u there if u like *putting on his usual charms out of habit*

Remus: We'll all go. There r some stuff we need to get anyways

Severus gave a small smile, which no one knew he didn't do that often. "Thank you that would be most kind of your."

James wanted to gag. "Lets leave the love birds alone. Moony." He grabbed Remus and pulled him into the other room, closing the door. "You can be his friend but don't drag us into it." He said in a ruff whisper.

Remus: Wht? Why not? Wouldnt it be nice to make some new friends for a change? U were always the friendly one in Hogwarts

Sirius: *blinked at James' reaction before leading Sev out* Shall we?

"Uh sure." He grabbed the sock with money in it. "You really don't have to. I can find it myself."
"He looks like a bat, but what is worse. He looks like a Slytherin. I don't like him." James said, crossing his arms.

Sirius: Oh no worries. I needed to get something too anyways. So ur homeschooled, u say?

Remus: Wht? A Slytherin? U knw he's homeschooled. We've nvr seen him in Hogwarts evr. How can u just judge him by his looks? Prongs, u knw better than tht

"I tell you he looks evil!"

"Yes." He nodded. "I don't think I caught your name."

Remus: *raised a brow* Since wen the Prongs I knw started judging a book by its cover?

Sirius: Sirius. Sirius Black. Bt the gang calls me Padfoot or Pads, tho Remus calls me Paddy

"Sirius, as in the star?" Severus asked. "I would say that is a bit odd, but nothing can be odder then Severus."

"Since he walked in." James said. "Moony, I don't like the feeling from him."

Sirius: *chuckles* Yeah, more or less. Mother thought it be nice to name me aftr a star, bt hv no idea the star she chose turns out to be a dog star *rolled his eyes* Bt I think ur name is nice. Unique. Reminds me of the riverside I once went to

Remus: Dont be tht way, Prongs. U just made him n u already made judgments. How would u like it if someone thought the same of u? C'mon, just give him a~

"Sounds nice. My father named me after a Roman empirer. You know, Lucius Septimius Severus. He was at work once and a man and his three year old son when by. He called him..oh what was it, oh yes, Lucius. Right then and there my father thought that if this rich man could names his son such a names My Father would name me Severus."

"I just don't like him." James frowned. "And I will prove it to you." He opened the door and headed after Sirius and Severus.

Remus: P...Prongs~! *chased aftr him*

Sirius: Oh, tht's interesting. I thought u were named aftr the river Severus. Lucius? Hmm *thought bk* He's not related to the Malfoy family, is he...? *sees James n Remus tagging behind* Ah, looks like my friends decided to join us. Yo, guys! *waves*

"Malfoys?" He asked then Severus had to contant a groan. He turned to be greated with a cold James who moved inbetween them.

"Hey, did I miss anything Pads?"

Sirius: *a little annoyed wen James broke him n Sev's contact bt smiled it away* Nothing much. Severus had just introduced himself, n we're on our way to get his books n our stuff as well

Remus: *followed behind quietly, praying tht James doesnt do anything stupid

"Sounds good." James put his arm around Sirius. "We need those books for out gen eds." He smiled, totatly ignoring Severus.

Severus look down at the floor and feel back next to Remus.

Sirius: Yeah, n dont forget the social calendars too. Who knws wht cool events they may hv in stall for the semester *tho his heart felt a little guilty as he watched Sev falling bk*

Remus: *shook his head in disapproval wen Sev fell bk nxt to him* Dont mind them, Severus. They've been pals since first yr in Hogwarts. U can say they're a little inseparable

"It's alright. I am fine with being alone." He said. Walking slowly. "You know, I don't mind if you want to be with your friends. We are just room mates." Severus looked at Remus.

"I wish it was a co-ed campus. We could have major hotties here." James laughed. "We have to join quiddtich."

Remus: Dont be silly. Roommates or not, we're still friends. N u need friends. Just stick close to me for the time being

Sirius: Quidditch is for u, maybe. I'm more into the Duelling Club. N u can keep the hotties. U knw I'm "rooting for the other team"

"Oh come on. We are buddies. You can join both please? Hey I know that. Still, you liked dancing with them at the last Hogwarts ball."

Sirius: *rolled his eyes* Tht's because they wont let me go, bt yes, they were nice to dance with, bt I'm still into guys

"Your not into bat boy are you?" James looked up at him. "You could do so much better."

Sirius: *steals a look at Sev* Maybe. There's something...rather mysterious abt him. I just cant put my finger on wht. He's kinda turning me on somehow in a way

"Atleast date one that looks better then a bat on a bad day. So you are doing dueling, me quidditch. Moony, what club you joining?"

Remus: Huh? Well i'm thinking maybe either Herbology club or Astronomy, I suppose, or both

Sirius: *looked at James in annoyance at tht comment, then turned to Sev* Wht abt you, Severus? Joining any clubs?

"I was thinking Potions or Defence against the Dark Arts." Severus said, looking up at him. "But proably but Potions."

James shot a look back at Remus, as if to say. 'See. He likes Dark Arts. EVIL!'

Remus: *frowned bk at him, as if saying "Tht doesnt mean anything"*

"What is quidditch?" Severus asked, just like a muggle would.

"What? Are you muggle born?" James ask, looking down on him.

Remus: Prongs, dont be rude. He's homeschooled, is all *explained Quidditch to him*

Sirius: *ribbed James*

"OW, Hey." James frowned. "Your suppose to be on my side."

"Ah. It sounds a bunch of sports put together. I have never really liked sport. Potions are my my speed. A calm, quiet inviroment."

Sirius: Not wen ur insulting our new found friend *looks up* Ah, we're here!

*in front was a whole crowd of ppl getting their necessities like books, stationaries, schedules and timetables*

"It's ok." Severus said. He still wanted with Remus. "Remus, how do I go about getting my sheduel?"

Remus: *looks ard n saw said receptionist* I think we should go get it there *pointed there*

"Ok." Severus when up to the recepitionest. "Uh, Hello. I am Severus Snape and I am here to get my schedule."

Receptionist: One moment pls *searched thru the files* Snape...Snape...Snape...Ah yes, here u go. *gave the schedule to Sev* Welcome to Kromagg n have a nice semester

"Thank you." He nodded and stepped aside. "Remus do you need yours?"

Remus: *smiles* Of course. We all do. Remus Lupin's schedule, pls

Sirius: And Sirius Black *called frm behind*

The Receptionist looked them both up and handed them to Sirius and Remus. James also spoke up and she quickly gave him his.

*the quartet chked their schedules*

"No too bad of a schedule. I should have added a couple more classes." Severus said.

"Sweet a good load, not too bad. Hey, Pads we have the same classes."

Sirius: Of course, Auror all the way, baby!

Remus: *looked at his schedule*

Severus counted up the classes. There was also a list of things on the back and Severus inwardly groaned, that suppliess were going to cost a mint. He knew he had a lot of money but did he have enough?

"Hey Father said he was going to get us some new brooms as like a getting into college present." James smiled.

Sirius: Woah! Far-out! He shouldn't have. I mean, my Thunderbolt is still fully functional n all

Remus: Tht's pretty generous of ur father there, Prongs

"He wants to, since he only gets to have one kid though college." James said, like it was nothing.

Severus heart fell. These other boys where rich, they could afford things that Severus would never imagin having. He looked back at his schedule. he should have known he would never have a chance in hell with Sirius.

Sirius: *noticed Sev's dejected look n put his arms ard Sev* Yo, since ur pops is so generous, how's abt providing Severus with one as well? As a welcoming present?

Remus: *blinked for a moment before smiling* Yeah! Tht would be wonderful. Let Severus has his first feel of a broom in a real life school. Whaddaya say, Prongs?

Severus blushed. "I don't need one. I hate height anyway."

"See he hates hieghts. It would be a wasted broom." James said. "Besides we would have no time to teach him, what with our.."

"Oh I know how. My cousin taught me when I was six. But I have not flown since then. The broom bucked me off." he chuckled, remebering.

Sirius: Then it would be good time to work on it. It's like riding a bike. U'll nvr reli forget it. I'll get one for ya, Severus, not to worry

Remus: *chuckles a little* So how's Lily taking u studying here instead of in Merlin's Academy, Prongs?

"You don't have to, Sirius. Honestly I don't need one." He blushed again and tried hiding his head in his shedule.

"Good, she has yet to decide what major she wants. She either wants to be a lawyer, or a medi-wizard. She just wants to help people."

Remus: Tht's surprising. For one moment I thought she was aiming for Daily Prophet. She had always been vry inquisitive

Sirius: Well, she did write for our school paper. *rubs his belly* Man, I'm starving. Where's the cafeteria?

"That was until that girl Rita, I think. She start getting on Lily's nerves. She is only a third year but she has the power to anoy anyone." James luaghed.

"I can go get me own things. I need to get back to the room and write my mum anyone." Severus extraced himself from Sirius arm. "It was nice meeting you all."

Remus: *chuckles, remembering the last time she had a conversation with Rita who doesnt evn bloody knw how to remember someone's name right*

Sirius: Aww, ur not joining us for lunch?

"I am not that hungery." He said. "Don't worry. I am fine." He turned and started walking to the bookstore to get his supplies.

Sirius: *watched as Severus left before he turned to James* Geez wht was ur problem there, Prongs?

"What did I do?" James asked. "He left on his own."

Sirius: No, abt tht attitude. Calling him a bat n all tht. Wht's ur problem neways? U act like as if he's a bloody Slytherin!

"I get this odd feeling. He is evil. I know it. Did you see one of his classes? Basic Posions! You are just sore cuase you like him."

Sirius: Since wen does Potions hv anything to do with evil? U love DADA n I dont see u looming ard like a Dementor

Remus: *rolled his eyes* Tht's wht I've been trying to tell him

"He just looks like it. Fine, befriend him. But if you find out he is evil. It is not my fault." James turned and headed back to the dorm.

Sirius: *scratched his head, looked at Remus then shrugged as both of them made their way to the cafeteria*
