Refuged Love-Chapter 7

The next night, Severus couldn't keep himself from drinking. he just walked to get lost in his own mind. Once his first bottle was done he just looked into the fire.

Harry: *had been noticing something off abt Severus as he hadnt seen him all day, n he wasnt hving dinner with him at night. Out of curiosity, he came looking for him, n saw him in the study, staring at the fire* P...Prof? *came up to him, dared himself to sat at his feet in front of him, his green eyes illuminated by the fire*

Severus looked at him. "You have eyes like my best friend. She was so beautiful."

Harry: Umm...thanks? *could tell frm his glazed look tht he was drunk, not to mention the Fire Whiskey bottle beside him*

"She loved to learn. She was so smart." he nodded looking back to the fire. "But i ruined everything."

Harry: *see this as his chance to talk as he scooted closer* Wht did u do?

"I spied for the Dark Lord and then told him everything. He wanted to go after her and her son. I doomed her." he tear ran down his face.

Harry: *was shocked to hear it bt decided to keep a level-head lest he lose Sev frm the conversation* W...Why did u do it?

"I wanted to be needed. No one wanted me but him. Not even my father wanted me." He was still looking at the fire. "Lily didn't want me."

Harry: U...U loved my...I mean, u loved Lily, didnt u?

"I loved her like a sister. I would have given my life for her." He wiped his eyes.

Harry: Would u hv given ur life for his son too, if u could?

"Personally. I didn't care for the husband or son. I would have protected them for her sake. but now..." He trailled off.

Harry: Do u not find any room to love her son? He expresses...much desire for u

"It's not that." He said. "I hated him becuase of hs father. i hated his father. The things he did to me in school." he shivered. "But he not like that. He is good and inoccent." He looked at Harry still not recogniging him. "How can I taint something so inocent with my filth."

Harry: U r not filth. *stood up n cupped Severus' cheeks, not bothering to speak as someone else anymore* U r not filth. U hv save my life more than once. Whtevr u hv done in the past, u hv made up for it by saving me countless times. I owe u so much, I owe u my life, n I owe u my love *leans forward to kiss him gently*

Severus kissed him back still not knowing. "But Harry won't." he looked sad, then passed out.

Harry: *looked bk at him sadly, then sat bk on the floor n lay his head on Severus' lap, crying silently, unable to understand why he couldnt get thru to him*
