*Meanwhile...at Hiwawari's home...*

Himawari: *stares out the window of her room where she was living. Aftr saving enough money, she managed to find herself her own home to stay, bt without letting her mom accidentally finding out tht she had money, n evry chance she get, her mother would go n force her to give her alimony under the threat of pain n she had no choice bt to comply, n she just got a text msg frm her mother saying tht she was coming* ~sigh~ Great, mooch off me again

Tamaki: *he knocked on the door to his sister's room* Nee-san!

Himawari: *looks up* Yeah, wassup *didnt bother to get dressed, maintain her get up in her black lacey bra n undies*

Tamaki: You don't have to give Mother the money from this. IT's yours and you deserve it. Besides, she does nothing but drink her ass off!

Himawari: U spying on me? I just got her text n here u r barging in to save the day. Like I got a choice. Remember the last time I tried not to give her money? I got cigarette burnt marks evrywhere, n dont evn make me remind u abt the time u tried to stop her n u almost got thrown out of the window. She may be a woman, bt she's a strong woman. She's a war vet, remember?

Tamaki: Not this time! I am not letting her ruin you like this. I'm not gonna be like those guys on the sidelines who...*he stopped as he saw a black notebook float down from the sky and onto the balcony outside the room*

Himawari: *noticed him staring n looked out n sees the notebook* Hm, wassat? *went out to pick up the notebook* Death Note? *looks up to see if her neighbour upstairs dropped it or anything bt there was no one up there* Hmm, weird

Tamaki: *looked up above* I don't see anyone. Weird...*he caught the shape of their mother walking down the street*

Himawari: Mom's here. Go hide in ur room. Now! *emphasize tht last word in a no-nonsense sister-authority voice*

Tamaki: *In a panic, he opened the notebook and quickly took a page out of it and made a run for it to his room*

Himawari: *went to get some money, pretending tht this was all she earned*

Mom: *slammed the door open n came in* Got my money, u good-for-nothing??

Himawari: Tht's all I got *gave her* Business isnt too good today

Tamaki: *carefully watched from his room through the lock.*

Mom: Tht's it? Ur a liar! I knw u hv more than tht secretly stashed somewhere! Cough it up!

Himawari: I told u! Tht's all I've got!

Mom: I don't believe u! Either u cough it up, or I'll show u wat for!

Himawari: Wat? U gonna hurt me? Kill me? Without me, u wont be able to feed ur sorry ass!

Tamaki: *looked at the blank page he grabbed earlier in despiration. He looked up and saw a shadowy form floating above his bed* O_O *Before he could yell, the shape covered his mouth to prevent his scream*

Rito: *puts a finger to his bony lips n whispered* Watch

Mom: I'll show u to talk bk to me, u whore! *grabbed her hair n flung her against the wall, then proceeded to beat her black n blue*

Himawari: *groaned as she bear with the pain, then saw the Death Note n grabbed it, running to the bathroom to hide frm her*

Mom: *gave chase n banged at the door* U come outta there, u slut n gimme my money or I swear to god I'll kill u!!

Himawari: *panicked n somehow wrote her name, n somehow wrote her death as jumping out frm the balcony*

Tamaki: Let me go! I gotta help my sister! She needs help!

Rito: *held him in a tight grip* Stay. Dont worry. She still has a long lifeline. She'll survive

Tamaki: But...wait, what?

Rito: *shushed him again*

Mom: *went banging n banging for abt 40 seconds before she stopped banging, standing there as if in a trance, then turned ard n walked to the balcony, climbed ovr it n jumped to her death*

Tamaki: *stood there in shock and opened the door, running to the balcony* Mother?

Himawari: *came out wen the banging stopped n saw Tamaki* Tama, I told u to stay in ur...room... *sees Rito looming ovr Tamaki, looking out the balcony too*

Rito: Hmm, tht is interesting. Its just as Ryuk said

Tamaki: *turned to see his sister* Sis, Mother...jumped off the balcony

Himawari: *was speechless, still staring at the creature above Tamaki*

Rito: Well, u made a pretty cool first entry in my notebook, it seems

Himawari: Wha...What r u talking abt...?

Rito: *pointed at the name n cause of death on tht notebook*

Tamaki: Let me see that. *he took the notebook and opened it, reading the rules carefully* No way...This...this is the power of Kira!!!

Himawari: Kira who? *has been quite wrapped up in her own world of "services", abuse n protecting her brother tht she had not kept up with the times*

Tamaki: *he rushed to his room and then came back with a huge binder of newspaper clips and articles, all following the deaths caused by Kira* Kira, he was a mass murderer who killed criminals and helped reduce the crimerate by 70 percent until 5 years ago.

Himawari: *read thru the newspapers clipping* So tht's when my business went dwn...

Rito: *sees the newspaper clippings* Well, arent u a fan?

Tamaki: I am! I really supported Kira. With the exception of those FBI agents and the officers that died at Sakura Tv, he really helped purify the world of evil. *he looked at the page he held* And I...I want to help with that!

Himawari: Hmm *looks at the notebook* I'd prolly rather rid the world of those tht reli pissed me off

Tamaki: If I had my own, I'd use it to continue Kira's work! I'll make the world clean and pure, the way he wanted it!

Himawari: *hears her door knocking* I think its the cops. Mom might've drawn a crowd frm her leap *passed the book* Hide the book, n look upset *puts on her best upset face n answered the door* Oh officer, thank god!

Tamaki: *cleverly hid the book under his bed mattress and ran to his sister*
