The Crying Traveller (Part 14)

*On his last day as a giant, Kita was finishing cleaning up around the caverns*

Kita: Whew

Nakh: How's it hanging there, Kita?

Kita: Pretty good. I have half an hour left. *noticed his arms are a bit more toned like his brother's*

Nakh: Looks like ur slightly worked out there with the muscles *squeezed it gently*

Kita: I think all this made me stronger. I hope it passes when i go back to normal

Kyou: *was shirtless himself, wiping his brow*

Nakh: U wouldnt knw, u would still hv the tones wen ur bk to normal. U hv worked out quite a bit

Kyou: Hey you two! Are you done?

Kita: Yes we are! Looks like your boy is losing it too

Kiba: Mmmm my strong man!

Elly: *was carrying half a dozen huge rocks in his arms tht he had excavated out to be cleared as he grinned smugly at Kiba*

Kita: *Sat down to catch his breath, rubbing his womb*

Nakh: R u OK? Maybe u shouldnt hv worked so hard today

Kita: I'm just tired, that's all. *rubbed his stomach* The baby hasn't moved since yesterday

Elly: Maybe it knows that its the last day today as a giant baby so it's just staying still for the change

Kita: No, it didn't move at all. Can you listen in and check?

Nakh: Alright *leans in, pressing his ear against Kita's belly to listen in*

Kita: How is she? Is she okay?

Nakh: She's OK. I can hear her heartbeat. It sounds like she's in deep sleep

Kita: *sighs heavily with relief.*

*Later on, the time has come. And Kita reverts back to his normal self*

Nakh: *Kita was floating wen he was reverting bk to his normal self, so he caught him just in time before the floating sensation left him* Gotcha

Kita: Whew, thanks Nakh.

Rai: Here you go. *helps him down and gives him his clothes back*

Kita: *got his clothes on*

Kal: *was bringing the guys their drinks* Oh, ur bk to normal. U look much better this way *hugged him*

Kita: *hugged his best friend* Thanks Kal. It was great while it lasted, but nothing beats being a wolf. ^^ Ooof

Kal: Ur cub waking up?

Kita: Finally did. *rubbed his bare belly*

Kal: *chuckles* Guess ur transformation woke her up

Kita: Maybe. *Walked alongside him*

Kal: So...I knw u guys had it rough wen I was... "missing", bt...how EXACTLY was it for u guys?

Kita: Well...

*Flashback to what it was like after Kalana died and Melly was taken...*

Nakh: *locked up in his room, not coming out to eat for days*

Elly: *who was still in his nursing stage along with Melly was crying nonstop*

*The twins are there, comforting Elly*

*Meanwhile, in the main cavern...Kita was standing in front of the fireplace, deep in thought*

Rai: *comes in* Kita? Kita, pls, u hv to eat something

Kita: I already ate. Leave me alone. *his voice sounded...dark*

Rai: Kita...U've been neglecting the kids for sometime now. They need u

Kita: *he turned around swiftly...not only has his tone changed...his eyes were no longer the peaceful blue everyone knew...his eyes were blood red* *grabs him by the throat* I just lost my best friend. *Throws him against the wall* If you want to take care of 'em, do it yourself

Rai: *coughed at the grab on his throat* Ki...Kita... *saw those eyes n backed off* U...U cant mean tht...They're ur children too. Ur their mother!

Kita: Did you hear me?! Do it!

Rai: *bit his lip, got up n left the cavern, trying not to cry seeing such a change on his mate as he went to the twins* Evrything OK there, Raito? Kito?

Kito: Daddy? Where's Papa?

Raito: Is he okay?

Rai: He's...well, not in a good mood right now. Better if u stay away frm him. Is Elly OK?

Kito: He fell asleep.

Rai: Thank goodness. I was worried he might cry his head off

Raito: He cried himself to sleep.

Kita: Damn it!!! *throws a vase against the wall*

Rai: *could hear it n hugged the twins* Lets go somewhere. Is Nakh OK?

Kita: *marched out of the room and went to the library where Nakh was*

Nakh: *was there pouring thru some items*

Kita: Aren't you done with you meddling around?!

Nakh: If u hv eyes, u'd noticed I'm not done

Kita: Well, you done enough, Red Eyes. Get out!

Nakh: *frowned* Wht did u just call me?

Kita: You heard me!

Nakh: *growled, grabbing Kita by the neck n threw him off before storming out of the library*

Kita: Oh no, I'm not done with you yet!! *he dashed after him and jump kicked him to the head*

Nakh: *snarls* Wht the FUCK is ur PROBLEM?! *rammed his gut n threw a huge boulder at him*

Kita: *Growls and dodged the boulder and took another kick to him before being stopped*

Kyou: Stop this, Kita! This isn't you! It isn't your fault Kalana died.

Nakh: *growled as he was going to pounce on Kita wen he was held bk by a number of villagers plus Rai* Let go of me!! He started it!!

Rai: No! I wont let u hurt my mate, evn if ur my friend! This is not either anyone of ur fault! Stop it!!

Nakh: Yes it is!! Its my fault!! I didnt get to him sooner n now he's dead!! HE'S DEAD!!

Kita: *is being held by by his servants and his brother*

Kyou: Rai is right, Nakh. Kita is feeling the same way as you. Can't you tell?

Nakh: He...He didnt hv to be such an ass abt it!! I'M grieving here!!

Kita: *tears start streaming down his face* Don't you think you're the only one suffering, Nakh?! He was my best friend...and so are you...

Kyou: Then apologize to him, brother

Kita: *swallowed his pride and said it* I'm sorry.

Nakh: I'm...I'm sorry too...I just...I just...My..My little cherry...N my daughter...I... *fell to his knees n sobbed*

Kita: *He still had his red eyes and went to his friend and held him*

*Flashback ends*

Kita: I was like that until we saw that vision of you and Melly

Kal: A vision?

Kita: It was of you and Melly going through a crowd, getting dresses for a ball
