I Almost Said I Love You-Chapter 213

*Oz n the gang stayed in tht cabin for a good couple of weeks. Majah would occasionally drop by to update them on things n warn them if there were gonna be any goons dropping in, bt other than tht, their life was more or less pretty peaceful. Despite the strong front tho, Majah seems to be getting more n more pale n more n more sunken in as time went by*

He knew he was the bad guy, sort of, but every time Majah came over to visit and help, Ozzy couldn't help but worry over him, making sure he had a snack and a drink. He coudln't believe how much he had deteriated over the last few weeks, it was so qucik. "Do you want something else?" he asked him, seeing his drink nearly empty.

Majah: Nah, I'm good. Have been a bit off food for quite a while. Dont hv tht much appetite as I used to be *nudged his glass away. He only asked for milk this time for his latest visit, n he had Amber on his lap for company. He seems to hv eased into his parental role whenevr he could, not tht hesitant as he used to, as if trying to make up for lost time...or watevr time he had left*

Rouge: *wasn't too keen on Amber clinging to Majah whenevr he's ard, bt he knew better than to deny Majah his temporary rights. He too could tell Majah wasnt doing too well*

"Are you sure?" Ozzy asked again, his brows nitting together, it was like food would cure all, but in this case, it wasn't going to do anything. He sort of grew to like Majah, in an... older brother sense, or a really creepy uncle, heh. He smiled lightly at the thought. "... Is there really nothing that will stop this? Maybe even slow it?" he suddenly asked, playing with the bandana around his neck.

Majah: *chuckled weakly* U mean this? *pointed at himself* Naw, I dont think so. My dog is already at her last legs now, she takes to sleeping in the closet evryday these days just to conserve her energy so tht she can sustain me. I dont want to prolong her suffering. Big Mama rarely evn needs me anymore. I think she's already recruiting a new spy in the works. She's just leaving me to die now

Ozzy frowned and reached out, setting a hand on his shoulder, squeezing gently. "Don't worry, I'll make sure she pays for everything..." he told him as Edison came into the kitchen where everyone was, in one hand his lap top, the other typing away and a lollipop in his mouth. He moved over to the fridge, opening it and getting out some glucose pop drink. He blinked and looked back to his computer when it made a noise, his eyes widening.

Rouge: *noticed tht look* Doushita, Eddie-chan?

Majah: *looked up curiously as well*

*Klepta looked up as well while Thrax just gave a sideways glance, pretending to be casual abt it*

"...Hy... Found way in..." Edison said, setting the drink down and going back to typing, scanning, searching. Once he was sure, he set it down for everyone to see, pointing, gestureing, speaking rather quickly and excitedly in German that he forgot that they couldn't understand him.

Klepta: *came up to Edison n talked in Edison's native tongue* Sprechen zu mir, Bruder (speak to me, brother)

*all the elder viruses leaned in to look at the computer*

"Okay okay okay, das ist, was wir haben. Klepta: *translates everything as best as he could to the bros, since he was talking pretty fast and pretty excitedly, bt he smiled inwardly as he was glad tht his brother/lover is bk to his nerdy old self again*

Rouge: Hehh~ This is the first time I've seen Eddie-chan talk so much, bikkuri deshita (I'm surprised)

Rodeo: Haha, sa, Eddie-chan has always been full of surprises

Thrax: Heh, to think Eddie's nerdy brain could come to such good use *grins cheekily*

Majah: I think I might knw tht plc, I can take u there

Ozzy grinned,  nodding a little, looking amazing at Edison. He really was so smart.

Edison looked up, finally stopping his talking, his cheeks flushing slightly. He wasn't used to talking so much, but he had actually done something right, he had helped. "Chust... ah... might give away... uh, position?"

Majah: Dont worry, I knw how to keep u hidden. I just need to distract them. N besides I work there, remember? No one will suspect a thing if it were me. Only on one condition tho

Edison looked up, nodding at him, he had a point, no one would suspect Majah, he was always around there. "Ah? Was ist es?" [What is it?]

Majah: U n I hv to go alone. No one else follows

Klepta: Wat?? R u trying to send my brother into the lion's den?? No, I won't allow it!

Edison's eyes widened, looking a little worried. "Hy... kan't fight well..." he said, looking at his brother and back at Majah. "Ve kan't take them on by... ourself."

Majah: Bt I can fight. I may be dying, bt I still got some spring left in me. It's alright. I didn't live more than half a century for nothing, n they don't call me a HIV for nothing either. I can protect him. N we r there to just scout the area, right? Just a simple hit n run

Thrax: I hv to agree with Klep. U may hv a spring in ur step bt ur still not cut out to fight. U can't even fight Big Mama

Edison bit his lip, glancing to his brothers before he shuffled. "Hy... vell, if he chust... take me to door, Hy kan... check out an' get a better look at system, make notes, no fighting."

Klepta: But... *wanted to protest bt he could tell no matter wat he said, Edison would still go for it, n he knws Edison had always wanted to prove himself useful to the family. He sighed* Fine. Bt at least bring Nessie with u, for extra protection

Thrax: Wat? U want him to bring the mutt along?

Majah: Well, Nessie does hv partial of HIV DNA, since I had to modify him to be able to mate with my dog to give Amber her pup. I'm sure he could hold his own. What do u think, pretty? *turns to Oz*

Ozzy blinked before getting a little flustered, rolling his eyes at Majah. "If Nessie wants to go, he can go, if he doesn't... well." he shrugged, furrowing his brows a little. He was a liitle worried about the three of them going though.

Thrax: We'll ask the mutt abt this *turns to Nessie* Yo, mutt. Wanna go on a mission with Eddie?

Nessie looked up, barking and wagging his tail. He wanted to help when he could!

Thrax: Well, there u hv it.

Majah: Then its settled then. We'll leave whenevr ur ready *finished the last drop of his drink n got up* I better go before Big Mama suspects something. If ur ready *tossed a small red dart towards Edison to catch* Stick this outside ur window, n I'll come collect u *left thru the bkdoor*

Rodeo: Watashi wa hontōni kare ga shinpaida (I'm really worried abt him) Daijobu desho? (is he gonna be OK)

Edison caught the dart, looking it over before turning to Rodeo and giving a little shrug, frowning lightly.

Ozzy sighed and shook his head. "He ain't looking well, is he?" he mumbled, scratching the back of his head.

Thrax: I'd say frm the scent of his body, he doesnt hv much longer

Rouge: Nani? U smelled it too?

Ozzy blinked and looked between the two of them. "You can smell that?" he asked, sniffing a little himself, before he wrinkled his nose. "All I can smell is Amber."

Thrax: Tht's bcoz u n Klepta personally delivered her, thus the smell is more obvious to u. We can sort of smell death, a scent wen someone is almost at their wits end in life

Rouge: Haii~ We can't tell wen, bt we're guessing quite soon, he'll be gone desu ne~

Rodeo: Ah... Kowai so...

"Don't sound so happy about it." Ozzy huffed, frowning at Rouge and shaking his head. "Even though he was bad, you should still respect life, ya know."

Rouge: Sa, dont forget, he still works for Big Mama. We must keep our wits up, he might turn on us anytime desho

Thrax: Besides, I havent reli forgiven him for trying to kill u *looked away grudgingly, a hurt feeling crossed his face for a moment*

Ozzy sighed and nodded. "I know, I know, he's a jerk, he shouldn't of done what he did, but he's trying to make up for that in his last moments, right?"

Thrax: *sighed* I knw, I knw *leaned Oz's head against his chest, still not wanting to look at him directly, embarrassed to let him see his vulnerable side*

Ozzy blinked before he flushed slightly, giving him a little nuzzle of comfort. "We... should be okay, even if he did try to backstab us, he wouldn't be able to do much, yeah?"

Thrax: *nodded quietly, letting him comfort him*

Rouge: *seeing tht tender loving scene, he couldnt help bt nudge playfully at Rodeo, giving him a naughty look*

Rodeo: *knew tht look n grinned too, leaning in to kiss him before getting up n handing their twins n Amber to Klepta n Edison* Sa, help us babysit for a while, ne~ *went off with Rouge upstairs to hv their "alone time" before they could protest*
